Oh. My. God! Where did he come from?
The Adonis from my photography class is standing right in front of me!
I spent a whole hour on Monday staring at this dark haired, dark eyed beauty. Thank goodness he didn't catch me ogling him like I am doing now!
He asked me a question. What was it? Oh yes! My book. I feel my face turn red. "Yes. I like this author."
"What is it? Maybe I should read it?" He asks.
"Oh! I doubt you'd like it." I make a face. "It's just chick-lit."
He gives me a knowing smile, but drops the subject. "Have you done the photography homework yet?"
"Oh, no, not yet. My brother said he would help me with it tomorrow."
"I can't get any of my friends to help me out. They're afraid I'll use their faces as a dartboard or maybe print a lost child poster with their faces on it." He quips.
I can't help the giggle that escapes. "Maybe you could do a self portrait?"
"Selfies don't count." He smiles, and my insides melt.
"Maybe a family member? A neighbor?"
"Maybe you and I could do our homework together?" He suggests. "I practice on you and you can do me."
I am afraid that my mouth might be hanging open. "What about lighting? And, I look like shit!"
He laughs. "No, you look real. That's what we need." He looks around. "We could go find better light. What do you say? Help a guy out?"
"I guess I can, if you tell me who I am helping?"
"Jake Morrow." He holds out his long fingered hand.
