Sora walked into the classroom, feeling a bit nervous. She knew she was going to face some of the same kids she'd been in classes with last year, but there were also a lot of new faces. As she looked around the room, she spotted Keigo sitting in the front row, chatting with some of the other guys in the class. Yuna and Ayumi were sitting together, looking over some papers. Sora smiled at them and made her way to her seat.
Mr. Matsui, the advisor for their class, was at his desk, going over some papers. He looked up as Sora walked in, but didn't say anything. Sora tried to sneak quietly to her seat in the back row, but as she passed Kiego, she heard some girls flirting with him.
"Hey Keigo, did you have a good summer?" one of the girls said, batting her eyelashes.
Keigo didn't even look up from his conversation with the guys next to him. "Yeah, it was great," he said, clearly uninterested.
Sora couldn't help but feel annoyed. She knew Keigo was popular with the girls, but she didn't see what they saw in him. He was always so aloof and uninterested in anything other than hanging out with his friends.
As Sora settled into her seat, she realized she was a bit late. She had overslept and had to rush to get ready this morning. She could feel everyone's eyes on her as she took her seat, and she felt her face flush with embarrassment.
Mr. Matsui cleared his throat, interrupting her thoughts. "Welcome back, everyone," he said, looking around the room. "I hope you all had a good summer. As you know, this year is an important one. You're all sophomores now, and you'll need to start thinking about your future."
Sora tried to pay attention as Mr. Matsui talked about the importance of getting good grades and preparing for college. She knew that was important, but it was hard to focus with all the drama going on around her.
As class ended and everyone started to file out, Sora hung back, waiting for the crowd to thin out. She didn't want to get caught up in the girls' drama or Keigo's indifference.
As she made her way out of the classroom, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around to see Yuna and Ayumi standing behind her.
"Hey, Sora," Yuna said, smiling. "How was your summer?"
Sora smiled back. "It was good, thanks. How was yours?"
As they chatted, Sora couldn't help but feel grateful for her friends. They were always there for her, no matter what. And as she looked around at the other kids in her classroom, she knew that she was lucky to have them.
As Sora left her classroom and made her way through the crowded hallways, she noticed a commotion up ahead. Curiosity piqued, she quickened her pace and squeezed through the throngs of students to see what was happening.
She could hear a heated argument and raised voices. As she got closer, she saw that it was Kaito and another student. They were face to face, yelling at each other, with the rest of the students forming a circle around them.
Sora couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but she could tell that it was getting heated. Suddenly, the other student yelled out, "Kaito is a vampire! I have proof!"
The words were like a bombshell, causing a ripple of shock and disbelief to run through the crowd. Sora felt her heart racing. Was it really possible that Kaito was a vampire? And if so, what did that mean for her?
She watched in horror as Kaito flew into a rage, lashing out at the other student with his fists. The crowd roared and pulled out their phones, filming the whole thing.
Suddenly, a familiar face appeared in the crowd. It was Keigo, Sora's crush. He pushed his way through the students, trying to break up the fight. The girls around Sora began chanting his name, cheering him on like he was some kind of a hero.
Eventually, the teachers and school officers arrived to break up the fight. Kaito was hauled away, still shouting and kicking, while the other student was left lying on the floor, injured and dazed for the rest of the teachers to take care of.
Sora couldn't believe what she had just witnessed. She felt a strange sense of unease and confusion, her mind whirling with questions. Was Kaito really a vampire? And if so, what did that mean for her own secret? She felt her head spinning and her knees giving way.
The next thing she knew, she was lying on the ground, surrounded by concerned faces. Her friends were gathered around her, trying to help her up. Keigo was there too, looking worried.
"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.
Sora felt her face flushing with embarrassment. She didn't want to draw attention to herself, especially not now. "I'm fine," she murmured, struggling to stand up.
But her friends were insistent. "You fainted," they said, helping her to her feet. "You need to go see the nurse."
Sora nodded reluctantly, feeling her heart sinking. She didn't want to draw any more attention to herself than she already had. But as she leaned on her friends for support and stumbled towards the nurse's office, she couldn't help feeling a growing sense of unease. What did this mean for her secret? And what would happen next?
As Sora laid in the nurse's office, her friends gathered around her, trying to comfort her and make sure she was okay. She could see Keigo sitting in the back of the room, waiting for the nurse to assist her. Sora couldn't help but wonder why he was there and why he cared so much about her well-being, especially since they didn't know each other very well.
Her mind started to wander, and she began to think about all of her classmates. What if they were all vampires? Sora knew deep down that she was a vampire, but what if someone found out? She started to feel overwhelmed, and the dizziness came back.
Sora snapped back to reality as the nurse caught up on her situation and started to treat her. The nurse told her to rest and return to class, so she left the nurse room feeling confused and lost in her thoughts.
As she left the nurse's room, she saw Kaito walking out of the office looking mad. Sora couldn't help but wonder if he was really a vampire, and she contemplated approaching him to ask. However, she quickly realized that she didn't want to raise any suspicions about herself to Kaito, so she decided to continue walking and put her thoughts to rest.
As the day came to an end, Sora headed home on her bike, lost in thought about everything that had happened. She started to feel like an outsider, like she didn't belong in the world of humans. She wondered how she could continue living her life, knowing that she was different from everyone else.
But as she rode her bike, she realized that she didn't need to fit in with anyone else. Sora was her own person, and that was something to be proud of. She knew that being a vampire didn't define her, and she was determined to live her life on her own terms.
