"WAKE UP! WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Aimsey yelled as she shook Ranboo, "Why are you waking me up at- 8:30 in the morning?" Ranboo asked groggily as he looked at the alarm clock on the nightstand next to the bed, "It's summer and I don't have work. So I'm sleeping." He said as he turned over, Tubbo had already gone downstairs. "Because if we leave now we can be home by 1 or 2." Aimsey explained, "Where are we going?" He asked, "We're going to the pool!" "Is the pool even open?" Ranboo asked, "Yea! They started opening at 7:50!" Aimsey exclaimed, trying to pull Ranboo out of the bed. "Fine!" He sighed as he got up and stretched, "I'll go, but I need to go home and get my swim stuff." "Yes! GUYS I GOT HIM TO COME WITH US!" Aimsey yelled as she ran downstairs. Ranboo sighed as he walked back to his house to grab his bathing suit, an extra t-shirt and some swim goggles, then he realized, 'Tommy hasn't seen what I look like...' He thought as he got back to his house, 'Do I show him before we go?' He grabbed his stuff and started to walk back, when he got there, he pulled Tommy into another room and asked if he'd ever shown his face to him before, Tom obviously said no, he then took a deep breath and said, "Are you sure?" and then pulled his mask down to show his face to Tommy, "Yo!" He yelled as Ranboo smiled, "You look great dude!" Everyone else walked into the room and congratulated Ranboo for showing his face to Tom and they also made fun of Tommy for not seeing Ranboo's face sooner. "Ok! Ok! Can we leave now?" Ranboo asked as he looked at the clock, it was almost 9. "Yea! Let's go!" Bill said as he turned around and ran to the door.
"Last one to the car has to sit in the trunk!" Aimsey yelled as they started running. Ranboo got there first, so he had to drive, Aimsey got there second, Tubbo got their third, Bill got there fourth, Freddie got there fifth, and Tommy got there last. "Dammit!" Tommy yelled as he touched the car last, "Have fun in the trunk, Tom!" Freddie said as he got on to the car, "FVCK YOU!" Tommy yelled as he opened the trunk, luckily, it was one of those cars that doesn't have a separate trunk, so he could see into the rest of the car. Ranboo sat down in the driver's seat, "I regret getting here first. Because now I have to drive." "L." Aimsey said as she sat down in the passenger seat. It wasn't a long drive, but everyone yelling and arguing made it seem longer. When they got there, Tommy jumped out of the trunk and ran to the pool, jumping in, only to get yelled at by the lifeguard for running. 'I guess I'm taking everyone's stuff to the locker room.' Ranboo thought as he sighed and brought everything but everyone's towel and sunscreen to a locker, he even left his mask in there! When he got back outside, he immediately got splashed by Bill, "Oh you're on!" Ranboo said, then jumped in. "Hey Bill!" Ranboo whisper yelled as he swam over to Bill, "What?!" He said back, "Distract Tubbo so I can swim over to him and grab him!" "Ok! HEY TUBBO!" Bill yelled as Ranboo dove under the water, Tubbo swam over, "What?" He asked when he got over to Bill, "Do you like ice cream?" Bill asked, "You called me over to ask if I like ice cream?" Tubbo asked, Ranboo got close to Tubbo's legs under the water, he was waiting for a thumbs up from Bill, "It's a very serious question!" Bill said as he gave Ranboo the thumbs up, "Well I guess I- AHHHHHH!" Tubbo screamed as Ranboo picked him up from under the water, "HEY! YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT! GET OUT OF THE POOL! YOU'RE DONE FOR THE DAY!" The lifeguard yelled, Ranboo put down Tubbo then flipped off the lifeguard, he then got out of the pool with the rest of his friends following. "I think that lifeguard is homophobic!" Aimsey stated on the drive home, everyone laughed, "He could sense the gayness!" Ranboo said, everyone started lauging even more. "Speaking of gay, can you drop me off at Guqqie's place?" Aimsey asked, "Sure." Ranboo said as he turned into the neigborhood, he dropped Aimsey off a Guqqie's and continued to drive back to Tubbo's house to drop the car off and take his bike back home, when he got there he said bye to everyone, got his bike and left.
After Ranboo dropped everyone off, they all started going about their daily lives. Ranboo was walking through the forest near his house, when he spotted a cardboard box, in an old tree stump, "What the hell?" Ranboo said as he picked up the box and stopped recording, the box looked only a few years old, when he opened it he saw a cassette player, some cassette tapes, and some VHS tapes. They all had the same weird symbol on them. "HEY! IS ANYONE HERE?! YOU LEFT YOUR BOX!" He yelled out, no answer, "I'll take it with me in case someone did leave it by accident." He didn't want it to get stolen.(Bruh he just stole it.) When he got home he went up to his room and put the box on his bed, he opened up the box and dumped the contents of it onto his bed, he then picked up one of the VHS tapes and put it into the VHS player on the T.V. he had in his room. When the video started some text appeared and then a voice over started, "The following is a collection of evidence for Case #99128, also known as, "The Lostfield Incident. The consumption of evidence by unauthorized personnel is strictly prohibited. . ." There was a pause, "YET YOU LISTEN ANYWAY! YOU LISTEN ANYWAY! YOU LISTEN ANYWAY! YOU LISTEN ANYWAY!!" "AHHHH!" Ranboo screamed as the loud audio repeated over and over and over, "SHUT UP!" Ranboo yelled as he hit the top of his T.V., causing the tape to freeze, a few seconds later, it continued to play, a voice was heard, it sounded very similar to Ranboo's, almost exactly, "It wasn't my fault..." the voice said, "What the hell?!" Ranboo said, he then took the tape out of the player and put it back in the box along with everything else that came with it, he then put the box on the top shelf in his closet so that it was hidden, he then ran out the door and down the street to Aimsey and Tubbo's house.
"Guys!" Ranboo said as he burst through the door, everyone looked at him, "Ran! What are you doing here? And why are you all sweaty?" Aimsey asked and Ranboo dropped onto the couch, exhausted from running. He replied to Aimsey, still out of breath, "I ran all the way here, I have to tell you guys something that just happened!" "What happened?" Bill asked as Aimsey went to get Ranboo some water, "I saw a box while I was walking through the forest near my house, when I saw a box in an old stump. I picked up the box and opened it, inside there were a bunch of VHS and cassette tapes and a cassette player. I took the box home because no one claimed it and I played the first tape, it said something about a case called, "The Lostfield Incident" It started talking about how it was evidence and how it was prohibited that I was watching and stuff, then it started playing the same phrase over and over again. So I hit the T.V. and the tape froze, then someone said something in my voice. It was weird as hell." Freddie looked at him, "The Lostfield Incident?" he asked, "Yeah." Ranboo replied, "Why?" "No reason, I just haven't heard that name in years..." Freddie said as he looked outside and saw that it was getting dark. "Has it been on the news or something?" Aimsey asked, "Ask Phil," Freddie said, looking away from the window and back at Aimsey, "he knows all about it." 'OK... that's weird,' Ranboo thought, "I'm gonna go ask Phil. I'll see you guys later." Ranboo said as he stood up. "Bye Ran." Aimsey said as he left.
He got to Phil's house a few minutes later, he knocked on the door, it opened a couple seconds later. "Hey Phil." "Hey Ranboo." Phil said, "What are you doing here?" He asked, "Do you know anything about The Lostfield Incident?" Ranboo asked as he walked inside Phil's house, "Yea. I do. Why do you ask?" "Well it's kind of a long story..." Ranboo said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I have time. Sit. Tell me." Phil said as he sat down and motioned for Ranboo to sit across from him, "Well.." Ranboo said as he took his jacket off sat down on the chair across from Phil, "I was in the woods near my house when I found a box in an empty tree stump. I didn't see anyone else around so I took the box in case anyone was looking for it around town." He explained, "When I got home, I took the box upstairs and looked at what was in it. There were tapes inside of it, they all had the same weird symbol on them..." He paused for a moment, trying to remember the symbol. "What did the symbol look like?" Phil asked, "It looked like a four but with an extra line at the bottom." "Hmm... I've seen that before... But continue." Phil said, Ranboo continued, "I played one of them and it said something about a case called, "The Lostfield Incident" It started talking about how it was evidence and how it was prohibited that I was watching and stuff, then it started playing the same phrase over and over again. So I hit the T.V. and the tape froze, then someone said something in my voice... I don't know why, but I know that it wasn't me in that tape." Ranboo finished explaining, Phil's face changed, "Get out." he said sternly, "Wha-what? Why?!" Ranboo asked, confused on why Phil was telling him to leave, "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! NOW!" "OKAY! OKAY! I'M LEAVING!" Ranboo said as he put his jacket back on and ran out of the house, Phil followed him to the doorway, "DON'T EVER COME BACK HERE! YOU'RE CORRUPTED! AND I'M NOT HELPING ANOTHER CURIOUS KID WHO COULDN'T KEEP THEIR HANDS TO THEMSELF, AND DID SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD REGRET!" Phil said and slammed the door in Ranboo's face, 'Corrupted?' Ranboo asked himself as he walked back to his house.
When Ranboo got back to his house he tried to figure out why Phil said that he was corrupted, 'You can't be corrupted by tapes, can you?' he thought as he laid down in his bed. He fell asleep quickly, only to be awoken in another world...
