Chapter 3

A/N: I'M NOT DEAD! School just started giving out tests and I needed to study so I can't get much time to write over studying, let alone my Manga class on Fridays (basically just a drawing class, but 90% more anime discussion).

Y/N's POV

Today was my first day training with Honcho and the comets, and to be completely honest, it wasn't as hard as they told me it was.

"Alright, everyone's here." Honcho said when we all arrived. "Let's go, time for the next leg of your bootcamp."

"Today's the day I nail that Lightning Launch!" Hyuga said, pumping his fist in the air.

"And I'm gonna increase my attack power!" Hikaru continued.

And I need to get stronger for the next time I battle Valt...

"Start with 10 laps up and down the shoreline." Honcho stated.

"No way! 10 laps!" Hikaru said, excited.

Before they could even start running, I put on my headsets and turned on some music, before bolting off towards the shoreline.

"See you later slowpokes!" I said, waving my hand.

"Y/N! No fair!" Hyuga yelled before he and Hikaru ran after me.

"Hey, umm... do we all have to run too-" I heard Guy ask, before Honcho snaps.

"ARE YOU PART OF THE COMETS OR NOT!?" He yelled and the rest of the comets immediately ran off following us.

Long story short, I left them all in the dust. I was first to complete the 10 laps.

"Y/N, how do you run so fast? What's your secret?" Reina asked, while panting.

"Pop music, always gets me hype." I said, throwing my phone and catching it again.

Next up Honcho told us to do practice launches again. Hyuga, Hikaru, and I were doing pretty good, while the others are struggling to keep up. Then it's finally time for the battles.

We battled each other for a while, I even knocked out Roktavor once before Honcho took back the rest of the points. I had most of the battles because Hyuga and Hikaru can't agree on who goes first again.

After the battles, we had dinner (lunch?) At the Hizashi household.

"Aw man dad's special spaghetti is the tastiest thing in the world!" Hyuga said as he munched down on his plate.

I sat down at their table just across them. I looked out the window, ignoring the chaos Hyuga created.

Memories started flooding me like the ocean, and slowly but clearly, I started to remember my childhood.

I lived in another city, not that far from here. I remembered I was a shy and insecure child, but I couldn't remember anything that would cause me to forget those years.

"Y/N, you ok? I can finish your spaghetti if you want." I heard Hyuga's voice say.

Frick, I zoned out again.

"No, I just zoned out a little. Also, don't you think you ate enough already?"

"Nah! I always have room for more!" He said, continuing to eat.

This idiot...

After dinner at their house, I was completely tuckered out. As soon as I arrived at my house, I flopped onto my bed, drifting to sleep.
