Today was Valentine's day and Dynasty and Darren, her boyfriend. They were about to go on a date for the special day! Dynasty was getting ready for the date and soon when she was done, her boyfriend Darren came into the room with flowers.

Dynasty and Darren were walking down the stairs of her parents house. Dynasty and Darren's phone both made an alert sound and they both looked at one another before walking down the stairs fully. Darren and Dynasty looked at each other when they were done looking at the alert that read "Warning stay inside a bad storm is heading our way"'.

Darren was upset because all his hard work got messed up because of a storm. "Dar what are we going to do?" Dyn asked as she looked in her lover's eyes knowing all his hard work was messed up and that he was upset. "I don't know Dyn...."

Dyn was thinking of ideas to make Darren feel better and she went to ask her parents. "Hey mom, did you get the alert?" Dyn asked her mother who was in the kitchen making dinner. "Hey sweetheart I thought you left for your date, and what alert hun?" Dyn's mother said in a sweet tone while washing her hands and looking over to Dyn.

"Ma you didn't get the alert on your phone?" asked Dyn. "Hun you know i'm old and I forget how to use this thing" The mother chuckled to herself and said "Anywho what's the alert you talking about love" The mother said as the alarm went off for the cookies she had put in the oven a while ago.

Dyn told her mother about the alert and the mother looked at her daughter and said "I'm sorry mi amor" Dyn looked at her mother with a small smile and said "I'm okay ma, but Darren is a little upset I was wondering what I could do to make him feel better?" Dyn asked with a small smile.

The mother thought to herself and an idea popped into her head she looked over to Dyn and said "I'll Be right back love stay here." The mother went upstairs to her and her husband's room and saw him on the bed reading. "Knock knock" the mother said as she looked at her husband then walked to him and sat on the bed "Hey honey what's wrong?" the husband asked as he looked at his wife.

"Nothings wrong, well not for me at least but you know how Dyn and Dar were gonna go on a date?" the mother asked as she looked over to her husband "Yes I know Des, what's wrong did something happen to them?" The dad asked with worry in his tone. "No hun nothing happened to them but there date got messed up because of a storm"

"Oh my, really I didn't know there was a storm" David, the husband said "Yeah there is Des showed me earlier and said that dar is a little upset about it "the mother said, then she said "Sooooo I was wondering if we could all have a family valentines dinner? As long as you're okay with it..." The husband chuckled to himself as he looked at his wife who had puppy dog eyes and said "of course mi esposa" The wife smiled to herself and kissed her husband and went down stairs to where she left her daughter.

The mother walked up to her daughter with a big smile. Dyn looked at her mother and thought to herself "Why is she smiling like that?" "Hey ma, who got you smiling like that?" Dyb Questioned her mother "Hey hun, it's nothing at all i'm just smiling." "Mhm" Dyn said to her mother "Anywho, me and your father agreed that you and Dar can join us for dinner. We're gonna do a valentines dinner kind of like a double date but not so much...?" The mother said with a confused tone at the end.

"Oh my god really yay thank you mom i'll go get Dar and tell him!" Dyn Said with excitement. Dyn went upstairs to her room which was the room Darren was in. "Hey" Des Said and Dar looked up "Hey love" Darren said with a small smile. Des walked up to Darren and standed in between his legs while Darren put his arm around her waist "So my mom and dad talked and said we could join, are you okay with that?" "Yeah, of course I would love to join," said with a happy smile.

Dynasty and Darren walked down stairs and went into the dining room. The mother saw them walk into the kitchen. "Hey guys Dinastía me pueden ayudar por favor" (Trans- Dynasty can you help me please) "si claro mama" Dyn said (Trans- yes of course ma)

"What do you need help with ma" Dynasty said "I just need help with setting the table, also love if you don't mind can you frost the cookies over there on the counter first" As her mother pointed to the counter on the left side of the kitchen. "Okay ma" Dyn said and frosted the cookies that were heart shaped.

When Dyn finished frosting the cookies she went and put them on the dining room table. "Hey bud come here and help me with these drinks will ya" David the father asked Darren. Darren smiled and said a quick "okay" and went to go help the father with the drinks.

Darren was helping the father and the father had a big smile on his face. Darren was smiling well knowing why the father was smiling so hard. The father and Darren brough the drinks to the table and some glasses for the drinks. Darren watched his lover laugh with her mother while his lover was helping her mother setting the table.

They all finished setting the table and smiled at one another before sitting down. The mother looked around the table and asked "Who's gonna say the prayer?" Dynasty smiled and said "Me please" and the mother nodded and Dyn said a prayer. The family began to feast on the food the mother made.

After they finished eating and laughing at one another. Darren looked over to David who was already looking at him smiling knowing what's about to happen. Darren stood behind Dynasty with a large smile on his face and got down onto one knee.......!

Darren taped Dynasty back and she turned around with a smile that was soon replaced with an "O" shape and a gasp. Dyn looked at Darren with tears in her eyes "Dynasty Amelia Love, It's been the best 2 and a half years of my life and I wanna ask you, Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife" Darren said with tears rolling down his cheeks. Dynasty looked at Darren and screamed "YES YES YES!!!!" she said excitedly as she held out her hand and Darren put the ring on her finger and kissed her hand before standing up to kiss her and hug her and the mother and father were smiling with tears rolling down their faces. The mother and father were so happy and couldn't wait for the wedding. And that's how the Disaster turned into the best day for the family!
