Luke POV
What should I do? I can't date a guy, I'm starting quarterback for the McAndrew High School football team. Ugh, John is toying with my feelings and I don't like that! I thought. I seriously doubt John means to pay with my feelings and emotions but he still is. I need to talk to him. I do wonder why I get all weird around him. Do I like him? No, I can't. Jesus Christ, this is so confusing!!!! "Luke, can I talk you for a minute?" Robert, my foster dad, asked. "Sure. What's up?" I asked. "The ceiling. Anyway, there's a new child that will be sheltered here for the time being. Come down and meet him," Robert insisted. "Alright, I'm going!" I said. I'm always interrupted when I'm thinking...
"Luke, Mikaela, Julio, Amaya, Kathleen, DJ, Ashlyn, Cody, Angel, Liann and I would like you to meet Aiden. He's been in the system for almost 7 months now, so he's still a newbie. Be nice to Aiden, and Aiden will be nice back, okay?" Robert asked. "Yes, sir!" My foster siblings and I hollered. "Aiden, why don't you tell these 9 kind children about yourself?" Liann said. Aiden simply nodded his head. "Hello, my name is Aiden Morris. I'm 12 years old, my birthday is January 17, 2003. I had an older brother named Luke, and 3 sisters named Jessica, Lauren, and Maia, but we were separated through the Foster Care System. I'd be glad to see them again," Aiden said. Everyone stared at me while I stared at Aiden. My younger brother's name was Aiden, and his birthday was January 17, 2003. This can't just be a coincidence. Is it really my brother Aiden, the Aiden I lost in the raid of our home. The raid ACS and the LAPD had comitted, sending my parents to prison and my brother, my 3 sisters, and I to be separated. "Aiden, is that you?" I asked. "Do I know you?" Aiden asked. "It's me, Luke. Luke Morris!" I explained. "Prove it, you don't look like my brother Luke," Aiden said. "New York City, Blizzard of '09 on December 19th, 2009. The rental car Sierra and Peter, our parents, had rented got stuck in the snow on the highway in Brooklyn. Our mom, Sierra, said something to us to remember our whole life. 'Hush, my children, don't you cry, not a day, not a night, for crying is a symbol of weakness, and your future opponents mustn't be shown weakness'. Did I prove myself enough?" I said. Aiden ran towards me and hugged the crap out of me. I haven't seen him in so long. I know where our sisters are, at a Foster Home in Thousand Oaks. I've visited them. But I was never able to find Aiden. Everyone I asked in the system has rejected my questions. Now, I have my little brother in my arms. I missed him so much. "I missed you so much, Luke!" Aiden sobbed. "I missed you, too, you little rascal!" I said. Mikaela was crying and Julio was patting her head, while Amaya, Kathleen, DJ, Ashlyn, Cody, and Angel remained in a state of shock. Liann and Robert were hugging, smiling at the scene of found family. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.
"Can I help you?" I asked when I answer the front door. There were 2 police officers. "Are you Angel Santana?" One officer said. "No that's my foster brother. Did he do something wrong?" I asked. The police ignore my question and push through going into the living room. "Angel Santana, please stand forward!" An officer said. "May I be in your assistance?" Angel asked as he stepped forward. "Angel Santana, you are under arrest for the murder of Kaley Sanchez. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law..." The officers cuffed Angel as they stated the Miranda Rights to him. "Angel, did you do this?" Liann asked as she sobbed. Angel didn't respond as the officers continue the Miranda Rights. "You have the right to talk to a lawyer and have him present with you while you are being questioned. If you can't afford to hire a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish..." The officers said while their voices trailed off, exiting the house with my foster brother in cuffs. "Alright, I guess we'll find out what that was about in the morning tomorrow. Aiden, you'll be staying in Angel's room with Kathleen. Understood?" Liann said. "Yes, ma'am!" Aiden said ecstatic. "Kathleen, show Aiden up to your room," Robert said. "Yes, sir!" Kathleen hollered.Aiden POV
"Okay, Aiden. Here we are! This is our room!" Kathleen said happily to have a roommate. "Is your favorite color blue because the walls, your bedspread, and curtains are different shades of blue!" I said. "Actually, a boy named Cain had this room before I did. But he signed up for an Independent Living Program. So now it's mine, and yours. But yes, my favorite color is blue," Kathleen said answering my question. "Mine, too!" I said. "Kathleen, do you have any shirts I can wear, some that don't look somewhat girly?" I asked. "Actually, I do. I bought some guy clothes just in case I got a male roommate ever," Kathleen explained. Kathleen searched her closet for the clothes. She pulled out a navy blue pair of jeans along with a red American Eagle t-shirt. She squatted down and pulled out a pair of Jordans, then got back up, went into the second closet and pulled out a scarf and a leather jacket with some aviators. Next, Kathleen ran over to the dresser and went through a male jewelry box and pulled out 2 rings and a necklace. "Wear all this to school tomorrow, you'll have friends by lunch period!" Kathleen squealed. "Okay, I trust you on this," I stated. "Don't worry, you can always trust me!" Kathleen said, smiling. "Here's a towel! Go wash up do you can try these clothes on!" Kathleen said as she threw the towel towards me. I caught the towel and went to the bathroom. Now I have to figure out these shower fixtures, which is hot, which is cold?Kathleen POV
I can't believe I got a roommate! It's about damn time, too! I've been asking for one, but Liann and Robert never listened. Oh well, I have one now. That's what matters. I won't be alone anymore. I have to befriend him while I still can, I thought. I guess I feel lonely in this big room by myself. Well, he's in the shower. Telling by how kind he is, he really does seem like Luke. I wonder if their sisters are this kind to everyone, also. Luke told me one day that he's kind to everyone because he doesn't want to be like his father. I wonder what his father was like. If you ever ask him about his mom and dad, he'll tear up and storm out of the room, then later apologize for his attitude, bow down, and leave. It really makes me wonder how his father and mother treated them. With the things he said earlier, his mom seemed really caring. Luke and Aiden's father on the other hand, Luke's never spoken about him. The first time he ever mentioned his father was earlier this evening. Oh well, I guess his dad wasn't the best person in the world.
