The bartender

Summary:
Jake is a barista at a bar and heeseung happens to be one of his favorite customers.

Heeseung finally gather the courage to ask Jake out.

Jake was working in front of the counter, receiving orders and mixing beverages as usual. He is a famous bartender, obviously, there will be many customers waiting to try his skillful drinks. Though, the male still spares time glancing at the clock, anticipating for a certain person to show up.

"Stop staring at the clock please, your "favorite" customer will be here either way," Sunoo sassily said, rolling his eyes as he cleans the counter for potential customers arriving.

Jake pouted, "well you don't know that," he replies but still comply with the younger wish, focusing harder on his job.

The clock finally reached 8 pm, a time when Jake's regular customer would arrive. Heeseung, who was dressed in a white shirt and long pants walked past the crowded tables and toward the bar stand. His eyes landed on the blond boy.

He took a seat and wait for Jake to be finished with the drinks.

After a while, the other male finally comes to receive his order, smiling widely. Heeseung returns the gesture, looking calmer than he is. The older heart is beating a thousand miles per minute, the palms of his hands sweating and his leg bouncing on its own for several minutes already.

What was the reason? It was the man in front of him, who is oblivious to his nervous fidgeting.

"What can I get for you Heeseungie Hyung?" Jake beamed.

The nickname gives the taller's heart an electric shock. No matter how many times Jake calls him that, it always leaves him suffering an incredible love stroke. Everything the younger do really, it always make Heeseung have a reaction and no one blames him.

Jake is a gorgeous young male, with soft, smooth skin. Milky but still shine in the sunlight, and even at night. His personality is easy to connect with, always smiling and caring for other people. Whenever people see the younger, they always leave with a smile, maybe it's the reason for this restaurant's success. Who could ever resist a puppy bartender?

"Hyung?" Jake calls out, hands waving across the other face.

Heeseung flitches, not realizing that he was daydreaming. He fixes his posture and looks at the menu, wanting to try something new.

"Can I have a Tequila Sunrise please?"

Jake nods and heads to work while the older fidget even more. He looks at his watch and it read 8:06 pm. Heeseung exhales a long breath, it's been a while since he realizes his feelings for the blond. Coming here every day and getting to know the younger help his feelings grow, to the point where he can't hide it anymore.

The fact that everyone but Jake noticed it makes him a little sad but he doesn't blame him. How could he notice when Heeseung admire him from the counter or when Jake was busy talking and Heeseung's gaze fell to his plump lip, or when Heeseung gave Jake a rose and his favorite chocolate during Valentine's Day but no one else. So many actions but Jake was too oblivious.

But don't panic now. Even if the unaware male doesn't notice, Heeseung is determined to let him know somehow. This was a suggestion from his best friend, Jay, and he's gonna be taking it.  Today, he will confess to the younger. Thus, he has been sweating and fidgeting for so much, scared of rejection and mostly Jake's reaction.

Many people tell him that the younger have feelings too but truly, we all don't know that so Heeseung is still anxious about this whole situation. There are too many what-ifs, too many thoughts and emotions for him to comprehend.

The male was lost in his thoughts until a warm, soft hand touched his. He could feel his heart beating slower and his brain craving more of the warmth.

Heeseung looks up to meet the other male's worried gaze.

"Are you okay Hyung? You're acting very strange," Jake spoke with worries plastered with the words. He has never seen this side of Heeseung before. It's usually the collected and reserved one, the one who makes him blush all the time and crack jokes from time to time, making Jaeyun's job 10x more enjoyable than it usually is.

"Uh...I'm g-good," Heeseung mentally curses himself for stuttering. Why is he so anxious about asking Jake out when the younger probably have feelings too. Or else he wouldn't have called with Heeseung at night even when he needs to rest for work or help him with his work when Heeseung was stressing out. It might be a friendly gesture, that's what the older think it is but who knows.

No one ever care so much for Heeseung as much as Jake, and it gave the older a new perspective in life. He finally finds someone who cherishes him the same way he did to them which is why it's such an important matter to ask Jake out soon before someone else- in Sunghoon's words, snatched him away.

So here he is, nervously chatting with the bartender and sipping the tasty drink. Jake does most talking so the older usually just listen and smile at the beautiful angel in front of him.

"And yeah- are you even listening Hyung?" Jake scrunch his brows making the older cooed.

"Of course, I'm listening my Jakey,"

oh shit, the my wasn't supposed to leave my mouth.

Heeseung widens his eyes and glances at Jake, noticing his red cheeks as he lets out a small chuckle.

The awkward tension slowly dissolved as Jake changes the subject. The voice of the younger dissipate while Heeseung was lost in his thoughts again. Debating whether to ask Jake out or not.

This is your only chance, just do it stupid!

"Uh, Jake can I tell you something?" He started with the younger nodding and giving Heeseung his full attention.

"Well...I've finally realized my feelings for you and I was wondering if you would go out with me?" The older squeezed out the words, pleading with the ground to suck him down.

Jake's mouth was agape. After he recovered he plastered a smile on his face.

"Hyung, you know how long I've been waiting for this moment? I like you too and would love to go out with you,"

Upon hearing the words, the two exchanged shy smiles and a few laughs. Heeseung was elated to hear Jake answer, finally, the blond is truly his. Someone he will always make sure to show how great of a person he is, he will cherish Jake every day, every second and minute until his last breath and he swore it to god.
