Mateos POV

It was now 3pm, I was with Verity for a few hours but had to go as Tiego called, telling me my father was asking for me.

As soon as I got home I went to his room, seeing him in his hospital bed, hooked up to a heart machine and an IV.

"Mateo." He smiled.

"Hi dad." I stood by his bed, looking at his brittle body.

"Where have you been, son?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, I was with a friend." I held my fathers hand. "Are you okay?"

"Where's Jasmine?" He looked at me, referring to my mother.

"I told you dad." I sighed. "She's on holiday."

"When's she back?"

"Soon. You'll get to see her soon don't worry." I tried to support my dad as much as I could, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and cancer a year ago. Since then we've turned his bedroom into a hospital room for him.

He asked about my mother daily, I would always tell him that she's on holiday. I could tell he was getting worse by the day but I needed to stay as supportive as I could.

"I miss her." He stated.

"I know, so do I." I hid my sadness. "I have to do something now but I promise I'll be back by tonight."

"Okay, could you tell Tiego to get me some food?" He asked.

"Of course." I walked out and downstairs.

Tiego was making something in the kitchen.

"He asked for some food." I walked over to him.

"I know, he asked me a minute ago that's what I'm making." He turned to me for a second.

"He's getting worse." I put my hand on my forehead.

"He's gonna be fine, his nurse is coming over today." Tiego reminded me.

"I've got to go, tell me what she says." I walked away, leaving the house.

I had finally tracked him after hours, Joseph was walking by the park with a beer in his hand.

I was in my car, the black tinted windows hiding me.

I got my gun out of my glove compartment and looked around trying to see if anyone was near then I saw the last person I wanted to see.

Theodore, again.

He was in an alleyway, clearly wanting to kill Joseph as well.

I looked away from him, back to the park but I couldn't see Joseph.

I jumped at a knock on my passender seat window.

Theodore was on the other side.

"I'm not stupid, let me in." He demanded.

I sighed and unlocked the door, he quickly got in and faced me.

"I know you've been hanging around with my daughter and I know you want to kill Joseph, why?"
