And I don't put on makeup became I'm not like other girls
It's 8 when I finally enter the house- I had to give myself i late entrance so everyone would stare at my beauty with my purple dress and 12 foot hair in a messy bun
But as I enter no one pays attention to because they are at least half way wasted already
As I look for Jake I see him and Luke talking-and is that blush?? Nah probably they are just drunk.🙄🙄
"J-j-j-Jake, l-l-l-Luke h-h-hi" I say
"Hi Y/n, I'm happy to see you!" Luke replies as he turns to look at me his face shifts to one of concern at then he starts laughing
Jake turns to see what Luke is laughing at because as what I can see they were having a nice conversation and he looks just confused
"C-c-c-can I-I-I h-hang o-o-o-o-out with y-y-y-you guys??" I ask while looking at my shoes so no one can see how red my face is
Luke turns to look at Jake- and Jake shrugs "Sure I guess" and Luke beams as he hears that
So for the next few hours we talk about school, life and we even play truth or dare and 2 truths and 1 lie
But as the night ends I finally work up the courage to tell Jake I like him because unlike other girls nothing has happened to make Hake confess to me- where are the mean guys when you need them 🙄🙄
"J-j-j-Jake" I yip {A/N - Y/n right now 🐶} he doesn't respond but I can hear the hum that said "yes?"
"I like y-y-you" I whisper as I look at everything but him and Luke
But as I finally look at him he looks... disgusted?
"Bro Y/N what?? I have a boyfriend! I don't even like women much less you, I only started talking to you because it brought Luke joy to see me being nice to you because your friendless and awkward" he rants
My heart shatters
"W-w-what??!!! W-who a-a-are you d-d-dating??" I ask as tears start falling down my face
Jake and Luke, who has been very quiet during this turn to look at me surprised
"Y/N I have been your only friend since 3rd grade. You really have no idea??" Luke finally speaks
"N-n-no i-Im c-confused" I answer
"Y/n have you really not been paying attention? We have been friends for 9 years! I told you like 4 years ago who he was been dating!"
"W-what...?" My hearts shatters into another few hundred pieces
Luke just sighs doesn't try to comfort me as he usually would and goes to hug Jake
Jake hugs back and sits Like next to him "Want me to explain" he asks Luke
"Yes please" Luke replies tiredly
"Y/n, me and Luke have been dating for the past 4 years- and if you actually payed attention to him you would have known that" he explains
My eyes widened "w-w-w-why d-d-did you n-n-not t-t-t-tell me?" I manage to squeak out
"I have tried Y/N, I even said- my BOYFRIENDS party- and Britney tried to tell you. If you didn't know Jake and Britney are related" he manages to say without hesitation
At that point my heart can't take it anymore and I start bawling because I realized how bad of a friend I have been
"I-I'm so s-s-so sorry L-l-Luke!! I h-h-have b-been s-such a b-bad friend" I whisper
"It's f-fine we can talk about this tomorrow, I'm tired and you should head home it's 2 in the morning" he says
"O-ok" I manage it say
————————The following day——————
Jake and Luke explain everything thing to me at a cafe and as I look at them Luke's eyes he has darker eye bags and he looks as is he was a dying before we met up. While Jake has slightly lighter eye bags (still darker than they should be) and has had his hand on Luke's thigh the whole time to comfort him
After that I apologize for everything and for being a bad friend. Luke accepts my apology and after that we have been closer as friends than ever and I have even been trying to befriend Britney.
