Kazuma is an untalented man who isn't loved by anyone. He was bullied by his sibling and his parents abandoned him for being too weak.
He met a hero known as shizuka that told him his life would get a lot better. Even though Kazuma was untalented and had no power he could read any language. One day Shizuka told Kazuma that this mission would be the one that will change his life Kazuma want with her to a temple in the sand and Kazuma proceeds to read it out and tells Shizuka everything what it says not knowing what about to happen to him.
From no where Kazuma get stabbed in the back by Shizuka. Shizuka while mocking him 'thanks' him for everything telling him that he was useless. Only useful to be used. She tells him that no hero would want him as a teammate.
Kazuma falls to the floor thinking to himself "So this is it huh, I guess my life was a dead-end after all. Got killed by a hero heh who knew that heroes would be so dark. If I live again I will probably be a failure again just like everyone once said." With that said Kazuma closes his eyes and accepts his death.
