"Ugh... What the heck... Just happened.. Ow.." Ezio thought, his head aching with an incredible soreness surely no mere mortal has ever experienced before.
"Hey, I think he's waking up." A gruff and unfamiliar voice said.
"Ezio? Hey Ezio?" Another voice said. One sweet and soft, one Ezio knew well. Ezio felt a pair of small, soft hands gingerly place themselves on his right shoulder and gently rock him into consciousness.
"Blerrrghhhha." He heard another voice say, this one slightly raspy. And he found himself hoping it wasn't his. Though not many people would, supposing the purely intelligent commentary that was attached to it.
"Ezio!" He heard the sweet voice say with pure delight.
Then suddenly he felt two arms not-so-gently wrap themselves around his neck, almost choking him.
"Ooph!" He exhaled as Raini hugged him tightly, his eyes bursting open from the surprise.
Then just as sudden as the hug, his world began to rush in at him. Everything bursting forth in a sudden array of color. His mouth dropped open and hung itself there as he slowly wrapped his arms around Raini, the shock of seeing taking its toll on his exploding mind.
Ezio put his hand on the back of Raini's head and strokes her long black hair. "Hello, Raini." He squeaks out.
She loosens her grip on his neck and pulls herself back to look at him.
"Hello, Ezio." She smiles softly at him.
Ezio gingerly reaches up and puts his hand on Raini's cheek.
He looks straight at her and says softly, "You're even more beautiful then I imagined."
Her mouth gapes open. "What."
"You look pretty." He says.
She continues gaping at him.
He smirks. "What? Am I so hot that I'm worth being relentlessly stared at?
"You said... I look pretty..." She whispers.
"Yes, I did. How lovely of you to notice."
She rolls her eyes and begins to say something but a loud crash is heard and the entire building shakes, throwing Raini to the floor.
"Raini!" Ezio yells and jumps out of his hospital bed. But suddenly he feels strokes of pain coursing through his body and he falls flat onto his face.
