Chapter 5: Uncle Elric

"Ugh... What the heck.... Just happened.." Ezio thought, his head aching with an incredible soreness surely no mere mortal has ever experienced before.

"Hey, I think he's waking up." A gruff voice said.

"What.. I've heard him before...." Ezio thinks.

"Ezio? Hey Ezio?" Raini's voice. He felt her hands on his shoulder shaking him.

"Blerrrghhhha." He heard himself say.

"Ezio!" He hears Raini squeal with delight. He feels her hug him tightly around the neck.

"Ooph!" He exclaims. His eyes burst open from the surprise of Raini hugging him. Then just as sudden as the hug, the worlds color bursts in front of him again. His mouth drops open as he slowly wraps his arms around Raini. He puts his hand on the back of her head and strokes her long black hair. "Hello, Raini." He squeaks out. Raini loosens her grip on his neck and leans back to look at him.

"Hello, Ezio." She smiles at him.

Ezio gingerly reaches up and puts his hand on her cheek. "You're even more beautiful then I imagined." "What." Says Raini. "You look pretty." Ezio replies. Raini gapes at him. "What?"
"You said... I look pretty..." 'Yes, I did. How lovely of you to notice." She rolls her eyes and begins to open her mouth but a loud crash is heard and Raini is thrown to the floor. "Raini!" Ezio yells and jumps out of his bed to help her, but he feels the strokes of pain again and falls flat on his face.
"Raini!" He yells again as he jumps to his feet but another loud crash and another shake throws him to the floor again. The doors burst open again and the squad of armed soldiers come through and start shooting at the people in the room. "What... What's going on... Why is this all happening again!?" Ezio says to himself.

"Where is Damon?! WHER-" Then yet again, the man in the coat comes and beats the crap out of the armored soldiers. "Ezio! Raini! Get to the window! Hurry!" Yells the man. Ezio feels Raini grab his hand and runs with her to the window.
"Help me!" She yells at him as she begins to pull the window open.
"But its too dangerous!" "Well would you rather get shot and die or jump out the window and have a chance to live?!"
"Good point." Says Ezio as he helps Raini pull the window open.
Ezio peeks out but quickly pulls himself back in with a slightly queasy look on his face.
"Wowkay that's a bit of a drop," He says.
"Well we ARE on the 76th floor."
Ezio rolls his eyes and looks at Raini. "And just how do you intend to jump from this height and not die of a horrible splatery death?" He asks.
"Uhhhhhhh." Raini replies. She then opens her mouth to say something but, as in Ezio's dream, the man in the gray coat runs up behind them, grabs them both by their waists and jumps out the window.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Ezio and Rain both scream.
"Hold on tight!" Says the man.
Then suddenly a flying shiny black 67' Chevy Impala with a large round hole in the roof appears directly under them. "WHAT THE H-" Ezio doesn't get to say as he is cut off from the impact of landing in the flying vehicle on the red cushion seats in the back. "Ooowwwwww.. My side.." Ezio groans as the man crawls up to the front and places himself in the drivers seat. "Don't worry Ezzy you'll be fine. I'm here to get you two to safety so y'all just rest in the back all nice and comfy."
"Ezzy? Only one person calls me that name..." Ezio thinks.
"THERE THEY ARE!" Yells an armed soldier from the window where they leapt from. Bullets start raining from the sky at the flying vehicle.
"Looks like its time to go!" The man says as he throws the car into gear and zooms off into the sky, the bullets chasing after them.
"TAKE TO THE ROOFS!" Yells a booming voice from a helicopter.
The car lowers itself in the sky and begins to dodge in between buildings, bullets still flying at them from every angle. "Left, right, straight, left left right," Says the man to himself as he weaves the car around and in between the buildings. "Who taught these guys how to shoot? Stormtroopers?" Ezio yells. Raini rolls her eyes and continues clinging to the seat for dear life.
"Ah-ha! There it is!" Says the man. "Don't worry kids we're almost outta here!" "What?! There what is?!" Yells Raini. "Our escape!" The man yells back. He then swerves the car into a building and passes straight through it. "What.... The..." Says Ezio. The man chuckles. "Just a little illusion technology." He explains. The man then turns around to look at Raini and Ezio. "Its smooth sailing from here. You kids alright?" He asks from under his bushy brown mustache.
"Yeah we're.." Ezio starts to explain but is cut off as Raini gasps loudly. "Ezio! Ezio I think its your uncle! Ezio gasps. "Uncle Elric?! Uncle Elric is that you?!" Elric chuckles. "Yeah Ezzy its me. Bet you weren't expecting your old uncle huh?" He leans back and pats Ezio on the head. "Oh my God uncle it is you!!" Ezio jumps forward to get into the front seat with his uncle but is stopped by a searing pain coursing through his body. He falls to the floor and starts screaming quietly. "Ezio!! Oh my God Ezio are you okay?!" Raini yells as she leans down to try and help him. "He'll be fine don't worry. Just give him a little time to rest. Let the SPE wear off." Elric says very calmly. "But..." Raini protests. "Don't worry. I promise he'll be fine." "Okay.." Raini slumps back into her chair and sighs, staring at Ezio as he whimpers on the floor. "Wait.. SPE? What's that?" Raini asks. Elric sighs. "All will be revealed in time, for now you just get some rest too. I promise its all gonna be okay." Raini nods and slowly closes her eyes and drifts off to sleep.
