"Relax, my family will love you. You've met my dad, believe me that's the worst of it." I said with a smile. "Isn't like your WHOLE family going to be here?" He asked. "We'll just my dad and my step mom, and her family." I said. "Okay. I just gotta breathe. It's not a big deal." He said with a sarcastic shrug. I laughed a little and soon we pulled up to the old farm house that was my grandpas. We got out and instantly Lacey came running out. The sweetest Australian Shepherd I had ever met. "Aweee! Laceyyy!" I said as I gave her a bunch of attention. I'm surprised she's still alive, so seeing her is so amazing. I walked through to the back and I saw my dad, uncle, step mom, and step grandpa sitting outside. "Hey you." My grandpa said. "Hey gramps. Happy birthday!" I said with a smile. I walked over and hugged him. "Thank you kiddo." I then walked over and hugged my uncle, then my step mom, then my dad. "Gramps, Uncle Randy, this is my boyfriend Drew. Drew, this is my uncle and my grandpa." I said Drew walked over and shook both their hands. "So, did you get the big talk from Chris?" My uncle asked Drew talking about how my dad said he wanted to scare the living shot out of any guy I tried to date. "Yeah, and surprisingly I survived." My dad and I both laughed. "Well, party starts in an hour. At least that's when everyone should be here. Go ahead and get yourselves a beer and come sit." My grandpa said. I smiled. "Are they in the garage?" I asked. He nodded. "Sit down, I'll be right back." I said to Drew quickly before I walked to the garage. "Could you get me one too?" My uncle asked. "You got it!" I said. I grabbed three beers and walked back out to the table. I handed in to my uncle, then one to drew. I then sat down next to Drew and opened mine.

"So, what do you do for work?" My grandpa asked Drew. "Oh, I'm uh- I'm an actor." Drew said. "Nice." My uncle said. "That's actually how Drew and I met. He was my love internet in a movie." I said with a small smile. "Oh, okay." My grandpa said. "So, how long have you two been together?" My uncle asked. "10 months as of last week." I said. "And we're just now meeting him!?" My grandpa said making me laugh. "Do you like going fishing?" My grandpa asked. "I mean, yeah. I enjoy it." Drew said. "We should take him on our fishing derby." My uncle said. Drew looked at me and I just smiled at him.

*Later*

"Y/n, come meet the guys!" I heard my grandpa yelled. I looked over and saw him in a circle with 3 other guys, including my dad, and a ladies. I looked to Drew as if asking if he would be fine by himself. He gave me a small smile, and then I walked over to my grandpa with a smile. "Hi." I said softly. "Who's this young lady?" One of the men asked. "This is-" My grandpa started but was cut off. "I was asking her." The man said. I chuckled a little and then he said, "What's your name sweetheart?" He asked. "Y/n." I said quietly slightly feeling uncomfortable. I stood next to my dad, and gave him a side hug as he talked to the men. "Is she like your girl?" The man asked. "No! That's my daughter!" My dad said. "That's your daughter!? I'm so sorry you have him as a dad!" The man joked. "Y/n, this is Jerry, he's one of mine and Grandpas fishing buddies." My dad said. I nodded slightly. "Why are you hugging him. You should be hugging me. I'm your uncle. Like somewhere down the line." The man said. I felt awkward as soon as he said that. I just acted as if I didn't hear him, "Ignore him." The other man said.

After a bit of talking and the man making inappropriate I walked back to Drew. He smiled and I just looked at him relived that I was going to be with him. "You okay?" He asked as I stood next to him. "Yeah, I'm fine." I said. "You're a horrible liar. I thought you were an actress. What's going on?" He asked. "Just one of my dads and grandpas friends are kinda making me uncomfortable." I said softly. "What do you mean? Did he do something to you?" Drew asked as he became protective. "No, he just made some remarks that made me feel off." I said. "I swear, if he does anything to you I-" "Will do nothing, because he won't do anything. He was just making comments sexualizing someone who is way too young for him." I said. "Y/n-" "Seriously Drew, it's not a big deal. I'll just avoid him the rest of the night." I said. "Okay, but if anything else happens please tell me." He said as he grabbed my hand in a comforting way. "I will." I said. "Okay, good." He said.

*Later*

It had gotten quite cold so I ended up inside sitting on the couch talking with my older brother, my grandpa, Dre and one of my grandpas neighbors. But that's when the man I now knew as Jerry walked in. I tensed and I knew Drew noticed. He looked at me confused and I just kind pointed my eyes to Jerry then back at Drew. He looked and saw the man. "Is that him?" He mouthed. I nodded slightly. I saw Drew look at him again and he jaw clenched. I grabbed his hand and he looked at me. "It's okay." I mouthed. He took a deep breath and nodded. But it didn't stop him from giving Jerry a death stare.

"So, pretty lady, you must be taken? It would be crazy if someone like you would be single." Jerry said. "Umm, yeah I have a boyfriend." I said. "Really, who?" He asked. I looked at Drew. "Me." Drew said sounding protective. "Oh, alright. You could do so much better sweetheart." Jerry said. I looked at Drew. "Just kidding of course." Jerry added. But I knew where he was trying to get at. He was really insisting he would be a better match for me. What the hell!? This man is like 50+ years old. And I'm 22. "I'm gonna get a beer." I said as I got up. I just wanted to leave honestly. "Ooo, could you get me one babygirl?" Jerry asked. I saw Drew starting to get angry. "Drew, why don't you come with me." I said. He looked at me and said, "Yeah, sure." He got up and followed me. We walked outside bro the shop and I looked at him. "I know this is supposed to be like a nice family thing, but can we leave soon? I feel really uncomfortable." I said. "Yeah of course babe. Whenever you want to leave we can go." Drew said. "Thank you." I said with a great full smile. We grabbed a few beers and brought them in. Drew went to walk over to hand Jerry a beer but then Jerry said, "No, I want one of hers." I quickly handed 2 of the 3 beers in my hands to my grandpa and my uncle. I then opened the other one. "Looks like she's all out." Drew said. I saw Jerry roll his eyes. I sighed a little as I sat back down. "I think y/n and I are gonna head out." Drew said. I let out a deep breath glad he said that. "Yeah." I said softly.

I said goodbye to everyone obviously skipping over Jerry. As Drew and I went to walk away I heard Jerry. "Hey pretty girl, where is my hug?" He asked. I turned around and as I went to speak I heard Drew. "Hey man, can you just leave her alone? You're clearly making her uncomfortable." He said. "I'm not meaning to. I'm just being friendly." He said back. "By sexualizing her?" Drew asked. I grabbed Drew's hand. "Let's just go." I said. "Listen to her boy." Jerry said. That's when my dad stood up. "Jerry, you need to leave." He said. "Fine, I see how it is." Jerry said. As he started to walk out and he stopped right next to me and Drew. "Didn't thing I would have to apologize for calling a girl hot." He said. And just then Drew snapped. He punched the man. "Okay!" My dad yelled as he walked over standing between Jerry and Drew. "Leave." He said to Jerry.

"I'm so sorry. I honestly don't know what came over me." Drew said as he looked at my dad. "Believe me son, that was the best thing you could've done. He was very out of line." My dad said. "I'm glad someone stood up for her." My grandpa added. "You so good for each other." My brother said. I looked at Dre with a smile. "Thank you." I said. "Of course babe." He said. I wrapped my arms around his waist then he draped his arms over my shoulders hugging me back.
