𝐓𝐖 - 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠

𝐈𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐧, Gon searched relentlessly for the boy he bumped into. He was determined to find him and apologize, he knew his mother raised him better than to ignore his mistakes. Every person he encountered either ignored him or told him to give up. "Look kid, It's hopeless, no one knows nor likes that white haired weirdo," one would say.

"A silver haired boy? You mean the thief? He stole from me multiple times! You really shouldn't be looking for him," another would say. A few hours would pass with no luck, Gon ultimately felt defeated. He decided to take a small break near the fountain in the town square. He sat down for a few moments before he felt his stomach grumble.

"Guess I was too focused on finding this boy that I forgot to eat. What sounds good right now? Hmmm.....cheesecake sounds good! Yeah, let's do it!" Gon said to no one in particular. Grabbing all the items he got, he made his way to the nearest shop that he thought sold cheesecake. On his way however, for a split second his peripheral vision caught sight of silver hair passing by. Gon's eyes lit up and soon he was quickly rushing over to where he saw the boy.

Turning a corner, he was surprised to be met with...a forehead. Gon doubled over in pain and held his nose, he could feel blood trickling down to his lips. He looked up to see the same boy holding his forehead. Just as Gon was about to ask if he was ok, the boy looked up and dipped. Gon immediately let go of his nose and grabbed the boy's wrist just before he successfully escaped. "WAIT! Please don't go!" The boy looked back in shock, stunned in the spot he was standing at. From afar he could see the shop clerk catching up, he looked at the prince with panic in his eyes.

"Let go! I need to get out of here!" Killua said while trying to break free. Gon was about to respond before he felt a presence behind him. He looked back to see a sweaty, tuckered out man.

"YOU B**CH, GIVE ME BACK MY STUFF!" the man yelled, going to grab Killua. Gon stepped in the way, trying to subdue the tension and to not allow the man to lay his hands on the boy.

"SIR! Please calm down! What's wrong?" Gon asked.

"THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS, NOW GET OUT MY WAY," he yelled yet again, about to push Gon.

"As the prince, this is very much my concern. Now if you would please address the situation and calm down, I would be more than happy to help you both so no fighting ensues." The man's face immediately paled when hearing the boy in front of him was the prince. He decided to calm down so as to not get punished for being disrespectful to the queen's beloved son.

"I-I'm so sorry my prince," the man said before bowing.

"It's alright, glad you calmed down though. Now, could you please explain to me what happened?" Gon asked, still blocking the boy just in case.

"That br-"

"Ehem."

"That 𝐛𝐨𝐲 behind you stole jewelry from my stand."

"How much did he steal? How much was it?"

"Over 10 pieces, which is about $50."

"If I pay for the jewelry, will you leave him alone?" Killua, who was awkwardly standing behind Gon, went into a panic.

"You don't have to pay for me!" he said. Gon looked back and only smiled before turning back around to face the man.

"I guess that's alright..." Pulling out his wallet, Gon handed the man $50. And with that, the man left.

"Are you alright?" Gon asked.

"Yeah..uh...thanks for doing that," Killua said, fiddling with his fingers.
