"What the hell is going on here?" Derek yelled as he saw the scene in front of him.

"Shit! What the fuck are you doing here right now?" Reid yelled, jumping out of the bed. "Okay pretty boy, cover yourself first!" Derek said as Reid was practically naked in front of him, with a horrified look on his face.

Through all of this commotion, Y/N was sound asleep, hugging Spencer's pillow with a hint of a smile on her face. She looked so calm, happy, for the first time of her life.

"Derek, I can explain. Y/N and I, we had a thing last night, and it turned into something, and I couldn't control myself, I'm-" "You mean y'all fucked. During an undercover mission. You were supposed to watch over her, not fuck her! Hotch put you on this mission because he knew you would never go over the boundaries with anyone, you are a professional, or was I guess." Derek shook his head as he yelled at Spencer. "And for what? You're risking your entire career and breaking multiple protocols for what? This girl? She's not another girl for you to fix, Spencer. As a matter of fact, with how damaged and deranged she is, she might be the Unsub we're trying to catch here, don't you understand that?"

"What the fuck did you just say?" Y/N walked out of bed with a single bedsheet wrapped around her body as she walked to face Derek Morgan. "My best friend died yesterday. Grant Anderson. And you come barging in here, telling Spencer that I might be the Unsub that killed the only person who was there for me when I tried to kill myself after my mother's death? Are you seriously saying that? Then you must be the worst profiler ever to come to that conclusion. Fuck you. Fuck all of you." Y/N stormed out of the room, put on the gray hoodie from yesterday and walked out barefoot.

"Y/N! Y/N! Don't leave, please!" Spencer tried to run after her, but Derek pulled him back and pushed him down onto the floor with his strong arms Spencer was no match for. "She's not worth it, pal" He said as Spencer fell on the floor.

Y/N stormed into her best friend Haley's house, with tears in her eyes. "Y/N, baby I tried to reach you so many times yesterday! Grant, they found his.." she couldn't go on as Y/N hugged her, crying. "I know, I'm sorry, I just didn't know what to do with myself Haley, I'm such a failure. I just want to run away from all of this." Haley stroked her hair with a sad expression. "I went to the police and they asked me some questions, they might question you too, today. They were actually trying to contact you too, but your phone was off." "Shit, my phone is dead and I left it at Reid's place. Fuck"

"Spencer Reid? You mean our sub? Are you serious?" Haley looked at Y/N with a twinkle in her eye. "No way you guys are a thing now." "No, we're not a thing, never was and never will be, Hales. But I'm gonna go to the police and talk to them. I need to get to the bottom of this and find the sicko who killed my best friend." Haley looked at Y/N with a sad expression. "Don't go too deep into this Y/N, I don't want to see you get hurt or get in any sort of trouble. Grant wouldn't want that either."

"I know, Haley. But I need to do this. Grant would want me to find out what happened to him." Y/N waved goodbye to her friend Haley as she walked outside, and suddenly she saw the one man she didn't want to see standing in front of Haley's house; a tall, lanky, brunette, and beautiful man named Spencer Reid.

"Y/N, can we please talk."

"No, I don't want to be near you. You and your friends. I don't need this right now."

"Please. please. I'm begging you, Y/N. I want to help."

"Why the fuck do you even care?"

"Because..."

"Spencer, I'm leaving."

"Because, I fucking care okay? I care so much about you it hurts me. When you're not near me I'm thinking about what you're doing and it rips me apart thinking that you're out there putting yourself in countless dangerous situations or surrounding yourself with people who don't deserve you. I'm not saying I deserve you at all, but please, at least give me a shot and I promise, I promise you that it will be worth it because I'll give you my all. You're all that I want and need."

"Spencer..."

And then suddenly Y/N was engulfed in the warm arms of Spencer Reid, who smelled like fresh laundry with a hint of warm vanilla sugar, contrasting with her own scent of cigarettes and cherries. He felt warm, and she felt herself giving in, because no matter what happens, she knew she would always love him.
