Angel sat outside. She was reading, but now she was starting to doze off. Gatto was beside her, purring away. Angel's eyes closed, and she'd almost fallen asleep until she heard a thud, and yelp.
Angel's eyes shot open, and she stood up quickly, awaking Gatto. Angel looked around for the source of the noise, and saw Jack a little ways away, lying on the ground.
Angel walked over to Jack. He was conscious. "You ok there?" Angel laughed a bit, helping Jack up. "Great," Jack rubbed his head.
"What were you trying to do?" Angel asked. "There's a new app." Jack pointed. Angel looked up, seeing an unfamiliar app. It was weirdly named too.
"Crimson.exe?" Angel said aloud. "Yeah, what kind of app name is that?" Jack crossed his arms. Angel and Jack glanced at each other.
"Wanna see what it is?" Angel questioned. Jack nodded in a determined fashion. Together, the two climbed all the way up to it. They figured out it was not an app, but a folder.
Angel pressed it, and it opened up. It was an empty folder, but one thing caught them off guard.
Over the few couple days since the sticks had discovered Minecraft, they'd gotten quite adjusted and used to it, using it often.
There was a thing inside the folder. Made out of obsidian, it was a rectangle, with a purple, translucent, swirly middle.
Angel and Jack jumped into the folder, approaching the thing cautiously. The two examined the thing, seeing what exactly it might be.
Angel carefully started to stick her hand into the purple swirly middle, but she got sucked into it and dissapeared.
Jack gasped, jumping back. Jack jumped down, out of the folder, and ran into the house.
"Ninja!" Jack screamed. "Angel's gone! Help!" Jack shouted. There was a loud crash, and suddenly thumps from the stairs.
Ninja ran down the stairs quickly, nearly falling over. "What?!" Ninja shouted loudly at Jack. Jack gestured for Ninja to follow him.
The two went outside of the house, and Jack pointed up to the black rectangle. However, Angel was up there, standing next to it.
She was breathing heavily, and petrified. Ninja and Jack rushed up to the folder, and to Angel.
"It's like some sort of portal to hell." Angel explained, still trying to calm herself down. Ninja and Jack glanced at each other, before Ninja looked back at the portal.
Ninja took a deep breath, pulling out a diamond Minecraft sword. Without warning, they jumped into the portal, making Angel and Jack yell after them.
Ninja felt woozy for a second, before they appeared in a completely different area. "Angel was right, this place is like hell.." Ninja muttered, looking around.
There was a lava floor, hundreds of blocks down. Ninja was currently standing on some sort of dark red stone. There were random flames of fire here and there.
Ninja examined their surroundings, staying close to the portal. "Hey-" Ninja jumped at the sudden voice, ready to stab anything. Instead they just saw Jack standing by the portal, holding a bow.
"Oh its you, you scared me." Ninja laughed a bit. Jack looked around, the place was almost terrifying.
The two started walking a little, but still staying within eyeshot of the portal. Jack and Ninja froze when they heard something run.
The two quickly turned to the direction of the running sound, but there was nothing. Now there was running sounds coming from all over, and Jack and Ninja readied themselves to fight.
Something lunged at Ninja, and they swung their sword. It clanged against another sword, and Ninja just swung again.
"Hey, wait, relax-" a voice spoke, but Ninja kept swinging. "NINJA!" Jack screeched, finally making Ninja stop.
Ninja breathed heavily, and finally noticed a new figure. It was a stick figure, and it blended right in with the surroundings of the unknown place. It was a dark, pinkish red colour.
The figure waved. "I'm Crimson." The figure stuck out a hand for the other 2 to shake. "Ninja." Ninja grabbed her hand, shaking it. "I'm Jack!" Jack waved excitedly, making Crimson laugh.
"Did you come from that portal?" Crimson asked, gesturing to the portal behind the two of them. Jack and Ninja nodded. "You seem sort of shaken up. Have you ever actually been to the Nether before?" Crimson questioned.
Jack rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "No, that portal sort of just appeared." Jack explained. Crimson Oh'd at that response. Crimson walked towards the portal, past Ninja and Jack.
The two followed her, as Crimson fearlessly stepped through the portal. Ninja and Jack dove through the portal after her. The three stood in the folder, as Crimson looked out onto the desktop.
"Welcome to our home!" Jack cheered. The three all jumped down to the bottom of the desktop.
Prince was the first tonotice Crimson. "Who's this?" Prince walked up to the three. "This, my good sir, is Crimson." Jack introduced. "Prince, at your service." Prince bowed.
Crimson paused. Prince reminded her of someone. "Oh, you two are back! How-" Angel stopped when she saw Crimson. "Hello there." Crimson waved a little.
"That's Angel, Angel, Crimson." Ninja explained. "Nice to meet you." Angel chirped. "You as well." Crimson nodded.
Crimson noticed Viking, who was tending to some Minecraft sheep. "Who's that?" Crimson pointed. "Viking, don't let him scare you, he's a sweetheart." Angel informed.
Viking seemed to pick up on the fact that he was being talked about. He looked up, and saw Crimson. He ran over to the group, standing in front of Crimson. "Hello!" Viking's voice boomed.
Crimson instinctively flinched back a bit. "Hi," Crimson replied. "This is Crimson." Jack spoke up.
"So where are you from Crimson?" Ninja asked. Crimson turned to them. "Uhm, a different desktop." Crimson answered.
The rest of the day was spent showing Crimson around the desktop, and getting to know her. By nightfall, the others all stood by the portal as they wished Crimson goodbye.
"Will you be back again tomorrow?" Angel asked. Crimson thought for a moment. "We'll see, but I also have.. friends to attend to in my desktop." Crimson explained.
She jumped into the portal, and just like that, she was gone. Ninja closed the folder, as everyone else headed back to the house. Everyone wished each other goodnight, and the desktop went quiet for the night.
. . .
Crimson raced through the Nether, sword in front of her to stab at enemies. She finally reached a different portal.
Crimson breathed heavily as she hopped into the portal. She came into a basement made of quartz. Crimson walked up the white stairs, and navigated through the palace until she got to the thrown room.
"My queen." Crimson bowed before a new stick figure. "It seems I've found others." Crimson explained.
The figure sitting in the thrown scoffed. "We know others exist. Why is this important?" The figure spoke harshly. "Because.." Crimson started.
"One of them is a Chosen One."
