"Good morning orphans!" Everyone went silent.
"I am your Apprentice Maid, Suki, and welcome all newcomers!" Everyone continued staring as I bit my nails awkwardly.
"We are now going to announce todays daily activity! Us maids have decided we would like to go with Berry Picking!"
Daily activity? That sounded fun, of course depending on what the activity was exactly. But to me, it sounded like a way to calm down the orphans.
"Us maids have thought long and hard, and we thought you guys would like to go Berry picking."
I remembered seeing berry bushes outside the orphanage, but how did they know they weren't poisonous berries?
