The group has finally gotten to sans and papyrus's old house in snowdin, but instead of going inside, sans leads them to the side of the house and reveal to them a door that they have never seen before. Sans takes a key from his pocket and unlocks the doors, letting them in. As they entered the threshold, they found themselves in a lab." This has been under our house this entire time, brother!" Papyrus screeches at his brother. Today papyrus has learned that he doesn't know his brother at all. Sans laughed at his younger brother before going over to a sheet-covered object and pulling the sheet off, showing off a Half finished machine that was covered in dust cleanly having been abandoned long ago.

" So here is what I have so far. As you can see, it's not much." Sans trailed off. The thought of his failings filled his skull toriel came up to him, giving him a loving hug which cost asgor to feel uncomfortable. He has still not moved on, but toriel has. Alphys walked over to the Machine looking it over in amazement." Sans this amazing." Sans cheeks were dusted a light blue as he scratched the back of his skull." Thanks, Alphys. Most of it was made by dad, but I was trying to rebuild it, but because of the rest, I could never get very far. The Machine was supposed to take readings of the void, but he never got to finish it. I was trying to finish it to pinpoint a weakness in the void, but he couldn't complete it before he fell."  Sans trails off at the mention of his father's death." It's the ok brother I know with you and alphas working together, I know you can complete the Machine."

As sans and alphys work on the machine, the others leave the small lab and go into the skeleton brothers' old house. When they enter the house, papyrus plots onto the couch the gravity of what was going on and what he lost but doesn't remember ways on him. Frisk walked over to papyrus and sat beside him. " are you ok, paps?" Papyrus looks at Frisk." No Frisk, first I find out that I have a father that I and everyone else has forgotten, sans had to deal with the burden of remembering." Frisk frowns." Sans doesn't have to do this alone anymore. We are going be there for him." Papyrus's face lit up." You are right frisk sans has been taking care of me all my life, but now I, the great papyrus will take care of him!"
