Asgore and Toriel give Papyrus a kind smile." Of course, Papyrus. Arial was one of the bravest, kindest monsters I've ever met." Asgore nodded in agreement." She was a part of the elite Guard, which was hard to get into, and she was the youngest member to join the elite guard. She loved puns." Toriel smiled." Sans told me that his love for puns comes from his mother, and he feels connected with her when he tells puns."
Papyrus huffed. He didn't like puns, but he now understands why Sans likes telling puns. He can tolerate it if it makes him feel closer to their mother." Sadly, I can't remember your father. I've been trying to remember him since Sans told us about him, so I don't know how your mother and father met, but I remember how much Arial loved your father greatly, and she loved both you and Sans. She would gush over the both of you and show how brave she was to get as many monsters into the underground before we were imprisoned."
Orange tears fill Papyrus's Eyesockets. He fiddles with his scarf, happy to know more about his mother, and he is still disturbed that he can't remember his father, but he feels terrible for not being there for Sans. He holds such a burden of being the only person who can remember their father, and he tries his best to bring him back, but due to the rest, he loses his hope. It must have been a waking nightmare to know, at some point, you would reset. No wonder Sans was so sad.
