Aera’s pov:

I saw a familiar figure in the crowd when Allison sent me to pick our biggest investor and famous writer,  Rodger Richard and unfortunately they leaked the information about him arriving at Reagan National airport thus we got mobbed by his fans.

It's not like my eye sight is getting any better but I definitely saw him there... I was muttering to myself again.

When my co-worker pushed a file in front of my face and was informing me about the schedule of this week’s work.

“I need to go de-stress”, I told him holding my forehead with three fingers after listening rubbish erm- well important work details for hours.

“What are you going to do”, silly questions are making me more irritated then I'm already.

I’m going to demolish the convenience store”, I snarled at him at which he gulped hardly.

I've had enough, it felt like energy was drained from my body and it needed recharge. The throbbing headache was making it worse for me to focus anymore. So during lunchtime, I went to the convenience store to buy chocolates and candies for myself.

When I was stuffing my hands with chocolate bars I saw him again through the whole in cupboard setting on the side opposite to I was, I bolted towards him.
But I stood aghast, until he noticed me and spoke...
“Hey there.. Aera? ", he asked as if he was questioning my existence.

“Oh hi Soob-in. What's up?”

“Oh well, you know I had a magazine photo shoot here so until I go back to work I thought I should enjoy a bit here” it felt surreal watching him again after 3 years his dimples were striking when he slightly smiled after finishing his sentence.

I nodded in understanding and stood there silently holding load of bars in my both hands like a kid that's when I noticed how dishevel I'm looking.

I would be deaf if I didn't hear him scoffing at my appearance. I looked up only to get a glimpse of almost vanished smug into an innocent smile.

"I'm actually having a party later this weekend. Why don't we all catch up then?”

His suspicious behavior made me think "What if he....” but then again he can't be. He's too innocent for this.

Well, well Aera. You're not someone to be deceived easily by innocence.

I couldn't help but to say "YES”, even when I was having a weird gut feeling about this.

“Just heads up though”,  Soobin trailed off with his words.
Gyu is gonna be there. I heard you guys broke up”

I repeated hesitatingly ...
“What gyu? Beomgyu?”

“Yeah”,  then it hit me like a truck hearing his name twice this week. It can't be a coincidence. I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of the socket but I shouldn't be reacting like this.

“But he died”, I probed that maybe I heard him wrong. But what next, he said made me rethink my whole life decisions.

“What?  Bruh! That's not very nice to say. He just came back from Australia, after three years of studying over there and he's doing very well.”

Words got stuck in my throat I stood there like a statue he kept telling me things that were incoherent to me as my mind trailed off somewhere else.

All the things around me were hazy. All this doesn't seem right. Why everything is vague and disturbed?

Author's pov:

There she goes strolling on the streets, holding her aching head,  pulling on strands of her hair.

“No, he is lying.
He's messing with my head.
It's not possible,  no way.” She pulled hard shaking her head violently.

“He died ...
I saw him laying there in pool of blood.
I saw him fighting for his last breath.” She stopped on her tracks reminiscing the tormenting memories.

“I loved him so much then why....
Why he left me. Why he did this to me?”
The conversation with herself ended as she decided she will move out of here as soon as possible.

She never wanted to see their faces again,  she won't. These liars are messing with me. No one is trustable.

She brushed her messy hair,  wiped her face hard and decided to wend her way until she noticed someone following her.
She remained remarkably calm on outside, thinking that she could chop the head off whoever it is but here....

She was powerless, nothing she could do out of HIS will not even lift a finger.

How foolish of her not to notice what was going around her. How vague everything seemed.

Welcome to the realm of..........

She could've realized what was happening until a sudden voice interrupted

"I know what you did to Beomgyu”, a shadow appeared from the haze of mist as she turned around,  squinting her eyes to get a clear view of authority of voice.

Who are you? ”, the view became slightly clear as she went near him and muttered..

“Heuning Kai"

“What I did to him”

“You know better than anyone else” his dead cold eyes made a contact her hers.

“What do you mean..
It's not my fault that he died in car accident after we broke up” she protested of this sudden accusation. But that boy wasn't backing off.

“Come on admit it..
We all know he didn't die in a car accident”, Kai growled at her then started tsking at her.

“ We? Who we? " the reality was striking her hard this time in non existence multiverse.

She noticed Heuning Kai vanishing in the thin air. She strolled forward to touch it but nothing. He was gone.

Her demeanor totally changed when she realized there was no one around to play innocent card on.
