TW: SLIGHT MENTION OF BLOOD AND SOME SWEARING

"Come on, Aspen! You're so slow," Allie was infront of me, running.

"Sorry, not everyone is as fast as you," I rolled my eyes playfully.

"Okay, whatever," she kept running. Her long, brown hair was flapping up and down against her back as she did. We were on our way to the park. Reid and Finn were meeting us there.

"Aspen, I swear, you're so slow that even a slug is faster than you!" Allie matched my speed for a minute and grabbed my hand.

"Woah! What are you-" Before I could finish my sentence, Allie ran again, dragging me along.

"Allie! What the hell! Why?!" I laughed as my legs went faster than I could control.

"I'm making you go faster!" She chuckled along with me. We were running so fast that my bangs flew off of my face.

"Holy shit, slow down! You're going to run into something!" I tried pulling her back to slow her down, but that didn't work. Instead, my hand slipped out of hers. I was unable to keep my balance, and I fell over.

"Ow- that hurt a lot," I could barely breathe since the wind got knocked out of me.

"PFFFT- HAHAAHHA!" Allie was about to explode because of how much she just laughed. I couldn't help but laugh as well.

Allie helped me off the ground, and we realized we had arrived at the park.

"Oh, we're here!" Allie smiled so brightly that it could've blinded me.

"Do you think Finn and Reid are here?" As soon as I asked, I found them sitting in the sandbox.

"Hey, guys. Why are you in the sandbox?" Allie asked as we walked over.

"Why not," Finn shrugged. "It's fun."

"I just had the best idea ever!" Reid chimed in. "Let's have a sandcastle competition!"

"Heck yeah!" I said, joining them in the sand.

"Let's do this!" Allie sat next to Reid as we all started building.

This time skip is brought to you by my dying motivation.

We finished our sandcastles and got a random kid to judge them. Finn ended up winning.

"Let's GOOO!" Finn jumped up, spraying sand everywhere.

"Yeah, yeah. Good for y-" I started but stopped. I heard something. "Did you guys hear that?"

"Uhm, no-" It happened again when Allie replied.

"Shhh!" I put my finger over my lips as I looked around. Probably just an animal, right? Wrong. We would find out what it was soon enough.

"Guys I saw something over the-" Reid never got to finish what he was saying. Something came out of nowhere and attacked Reid.

"REID! OH MY GOD!" Allie ran in to pull the creature off.

"WHAT THE HELL?" I ran to the creature and started pulling as well. Finn came to help too.

We didn't know what this was, but we still touched it. We still ran to help Reid. What happened next was terrifying. Reid screamed. There was blood, too.

"OH GOD!" I saw Reid without an arm. The creature bit the whole thing off.
