The two boys ran outside, jumping around like hyperactive rabbits. Wally held a glass jar with a few small holes in the top, hoping to find a lizard to put into it. He began picking up rocks to see if there were any under them.

Hoagie stared in amazement. Wally was picking up rocks more than half his size and weight, with no trouble doing so. Hoagie was strong himself, but he wasn't that strong. He found himself blushing at his strength.

"I found one!" Wally shouted, holding up a miniature lizard. "A little small, though... Why don't you hold him?"

"Why do you want me to hold him? Can't you just put him back under the rock?"

"He's still cute, duh! Just... Hold the thing."

Hoagie was handed the lizard. It was roughly the length of his pinky finger, and was a light brown color. He sat down and held the lizard, looking at all the details on it. He always took mental notes of animals he found, since it helped with inventions.

"Oooh, you're BIG!" Wally shouted once again, holding up a bigger lizard. "In the jar you go."

Hoagie walked over to take a look at the new lizard. "Wow, you're right! That's the kind of lizard you'd find in Australia or something, not Virgina..."

"No it's not! I would know. This is some Canadian crud!"

"Canada isn't all that different from here."

"Whatever. What do they eat?"

Hoagie took the jar from him. "I don't know. It depends on the lizard...-"

"Booooring! Why can't they all eat the same cruddy food?!"

"That's not how it works... I'd assume this one would eat bugs, though."

Wally began running off, presumably to find bugs, leaving Hoagie sitting in the grass with the lizard jar in one hand and the tiny lizard in the other. Once again, he examined the lizards. But while examining, he got caught up in his thoughts.

He looked up at Wally, who was far away, but still visible. He was looking through bushes, grabbing anything he thought was a bug. Hoagie smiled softly at him. He thought it was adorable, the way he was eagerly finding bugs for the lizard he found. He loved seeing Wally happy.

After a while, he came back with many different types of bugs in his dirty hands. He dropped them into the jar, and watched as the lizard ate a few of them. The two sat there for hours and hours, repeating the same thing over and over. Find a lizard, put it in a jar, feed it bugs, and let it go. They stopped a few times to eat, since Abby was checking up on them and making sure they were okay and fed.

The sun had started to set. As Wally was letting out another lizard, Hoagie brought up his idea.

"Do you want to watch the sun set with me on the cliff near the treehouse?"

"Oh, I... Yeah. That would be... Fun." Wally blushed.

"Great!" Hoagie took him by the hand and began pulling him along to the cliff. "I know, I know... This is probably boring to you. But I like to watch the sun set."

"No, I don't think it'll be boring... I-I like hanging out with you."

Hoagie tried to hint a little at his feelings. "Are you sure? I mean, it seems a little... Uh... Romantic."

"I don't mind."

"Alright," Hoagie muttered, trying to hide his excitement towards Wally willingly doing something that's usually romantic. "Just let me know if it makes you uncomfortable."

The two sat down next to each other on the cliff edge, dangling their legs off of it. As they watched the sun set, Hoagie slowly inched closer to Wally. Wally only noticed how much closer he was than when they first arrived there when Hoagie's shoulder touched his shoulder. His face got increasingly red as Hoagie continued to get closer. The sun had almost disappeared over the horizon when Wally whispered something to himself.
