It's Monday. Although I had to wait a few days to get back the phone, it was an okay week. Aria and the girls went out to get supplies when we decided Monday was when we would leave, so Mike ended up down stairs with me, and then that turned into a make out session.
Also, I can walk again. I still have a bit of a limp but not much and I can run fairly well.
"Okay, all the stuff is in the trunk. I'll call the girls and tell 'um to come over," Aria whispers to me.
"Do you have to go? Why do the girls need you to go shopping with them?," Mike asked. We all agreed that it was best if he didn't know about what was really about to go down.
"'Cause I need new close. And don't worry. My dad dropped the search party. It was on the news this morning," I lie.
"Okay... I guess I'm just paranoid. I'll see you later?"
"Yeah, I promise," I say and then balance on my toes and kiss him lightly on the cheek.
The door bell rings and signals that the others got here and that it's time to leave. I grab a leather wallet I found when I was in the woods. I hid a pocket knife in it just in case something went wrong at the house. Like if my dad was home or something like that.
"Sophie, let's go. The girl's are outside," Aria says.
"Coming. Bye Mike. Love you."
"Love you too." And after that I run out of the room to catch up with Aria. I jump in the what looks like a minivan, and get in the middle of the backseat since I'm the smallest, and sit in between Hanna and Emily.
"Okay. First off, we need the address," says Hanna.
"Okay, it's in Delaware. And the address is ( what ever address number you want) Gale street."
I see Spence tipping something onto her GPS. She gives it to Aria so she can get to the right place. Then I ask, "Are any of you ganna come in the house or you just wanna wait outside?"
"We'll come in. Well two of us. The other can watch the car and the door," Emily answers.
We all agree that that's what we should do and that Hanna and Spencer will come in the house with me. We also agreed that if we aren't out in ten minutes then the others will come.
After a few minutes of driving, I see the place where Mike found me and start to feel sick to my stomach. Then all the memories hit me like a rock all at the same time. That's when I decide it's a good time to try in sleep.
-------------------------------------------
"Sophie, we're here," I hear someone say. I groggily get out of the car and see the house that I grew up in and that slowly turned into hell.
The girl's must have saw this in my face because there all giving me weird looks. But in answer I turn to the house and start walking. Hanna and Spencer come running to catch up to me and we start to review the plan.
If my dad is home, we run like hell is coming for us because the only way we'll know if he's home, is if he answers the door. But if he's not home, Spencer will get the door to unlock and we'll search the house. Not just for my dad or the phone, but for A.
We all have pocket knifes so it's not like we're defenceless, but once we step foot on the porch, you can practically feel the tension weighing down on you.
