Heavenly Storm

Part 2

Zander sat at the bar, drink in hand, at a party he didn't want to be at. It was simply too loud and there were far too many people for his liking. This was not his definition of fun. He sighed as he waved the barman over. "Another" he says, downing his glass. It was a good thing he didn't get drunk easily, otherwise he would've been wasted by now. "You know... This is not what I meant by going to the party" Magnus says coming over and sitting next to his best friend. Zander looks over at him "I'm here, aren't I? Like you asked. I don't have to pretend to like it as well, do I?" Zander asks his friend "Seriously, I'd rather be at home... Reading a book or something." Zander added with a sigh. "I'm not going to let you ruin my mood with your brooding, Zander. Not today." Magnus says "Martini, please" he says once the bartender brought Zander's drink. The bartender came with Magnus' drink and Magnus disappeared in the crowd once more. Zander followed him with his eyes, until he caught his sister's eyes. She smiled at him and he couldn't help but smile back, raising his glass at her. She just shook her head and turned back to Magnus.

He eventually decided to get up from his seat and get some air outside. It was so tightly packed that he had a hard time getting through. He bumped into someone. "I'm sorry" he muttered looking up at the person he just bumped into. His blue eyes locked with a pair of hazel ones. His mouth suddenly became dry as he stared at the handsome man in front of him. He scraped his throat after a couple of seconds. "You can see me?" the raven haired man in front of his states "That is kind of the point.... It's why we have eyes" Zander points out "Unless you are blind, than you can't see at all." he adds awkwardly. "No offence to the blind" Zander could slap himself in the face by now. The taller man in front of him let out a small laugh. "I'm sorry." Zander says "I get nervous sometimes and when I'm nervous I ramble." he says with a small laugh "I'm Zander." he added with a smile, sticking out his hand for the other male to shake "Alec" the raven haired man says, shaking the smaller man's hand. "Alec!" they heard another man call. Both of them turned in the direction of the voice. "I have to go" Alec tells the blond haired male in front of him. Before Zander could say anything else, the raven haired beauty disappeared from his sight.

He stared after the boy long after he disappeared, only getting out of his trance as he gets bumped into by a flash of orange hair that he would recognize anywhere. Zander locked eyes with his best friend and gave him a nod. He followed after her, seeing her grab the arm of a large man. Zander immediately knew it was a demon and not just because the eyes suddenly glowed white for a second. He got in after her. Seeing the girl push away the demon as the white haired shadowhunter had just been about to stab her with a blade. Tentacles came from it's mouth and the redhead screamed, before the white haired shadowhunter took care of that one. 

Zander approached two demons that were to attack the blond haired shadowhunter and placed his hands on their foreheads. Blue hues engulfed his hands as the demons fell to the floor, eyes burned out. He quickly turned around as he sensed a couple more. Zander's eyes turned a vibrant blue as he completely incinerated them by sending strikes of lightning in their direction and thus sending them back to hell.

Zander's eyes caught the familiar hazel eyes from before and he got lost in them for a second. He got out of his trance as the raven haired boy shot an arrow at him, hitting something behind him. Zander looked behind him, just in time to see the demon turn to ash. "Nice shot" he called out to the raven haired shadowhunter. 

"How did you do that?" the raven haired shadowhunter asks him once he got down and joined the group. "Do what?" Zander asks feigning confusion "That!" the shadowhunter replies motioning to the bodies with burned out eyes. "How do you think I did that?" Zander answers with another question. "You're a warlock...?" he stated although it sounded more like a question. "Sure, let's keep it at that" Zander says, causing the others to narrow their eyes at him. Zander looks at his wrist at a non-existant watch "Look at the time! I better get going..." he says trailing of. His eyes meet Alec's hazel ones once more and got lost in them once more. He shook his head. "Uhm.... Farewell" he says with a wave of his hand, disappearing into the crowd before anyone had a chance to stop him. Leaving three very confused shadowhunters in his wake.
