This is a book of vampire lore I've created. So if you're confused, here's some explanation.
PUREBRED OR CHANGED
There's two types of vampires. There's the more common Changed vampires. They're changed with a single injection that looks like an epipen. Most of the group are changed with the exception of Minho who is a purebred.
The main differences between the two?
Purebreds need real blood. The synthetic blood doesn't cure their hunger. It may be fine in a pinch but they can't live off of it. Purebreds also are slightly sensitive to sunlight. They have to wear sunglasses outside and will get a severe sunburn with prolonged exposure. Finally, they have the option to sire other vampires with a specific venom and an extra set of fangs. This means changing a human into a purebred.
Changed vampires live off of mainly synthetic blood but occasionally will want real food. Changed vampires don't quite have the intense taste and smell that purebreds have. They're usually fine being around humans, but if blood is exposed or out directly in front of them, they struggle.
Some things they have in common:
They are all super strong and instantly heal themselves and are immobilized by silver. Their full eyes (including the whites of the eye) turn fully black just before they feed, always accompanied by their fangs showing.
AGE
All vampires purebred or otherwise all stop aging at 25.
TRAITS
All vampires have what's called a trait. It can take many years to learn how to use. They all must pass a test to show they can effectively use their trait. When they pass, they are licensed and allowed to use their traits as they wish. Purebreds learn their traits and get licensed at very young ages. Minho was licensed at 10 years old.

All covens must be bound, if not all the members of the coven will slowly descend into madness until one of them cracks and kills the rest. At the beginning of the story Stray Kids have already put off the binding rite because the company required comeback after comeback. Seungmin is starting to show early signs of possible issues related to the delay of the rite.
