It was Charlotte and Raph's birthday, Charlotte turning 17 and Raph turning 18. "They forgot that it was also my birthday..." Charlotte thought to herself as the others sung happy birthday to Raph.
She decided that today, her very birthday, was the day she cut her life to an end. She hadn't just come up with this idea, she'd been thinking about it for months, years even. She just couldn't find the right time to do it. But now, she had. Part of her wanted her to stay, but it was overruled by the dreaded will to die. She already had the materials, she even had the chair. She grabbed the rope that she got from Donnie (once again, donnie, be careful next time.) and tied it into a noose. She hung it from one of the pipes in her room, in the middle. She grabbed the chair and stood onto it, adjusting the noose to size. Just then, she thought "Do i... actually want to do this?" She immediately shooed that thought away. Yes. She does. She kicked away the chair.
In the dining room, Viper and the others were singing 'Happy Birthday' to Raphael, when she heard a thump coming from Charlotte's room. She managed to slip away from the party to go check on her, but as soon as she opened the door, she was horrified to what she saw. After about one second, Viper screamed, interrupting the singing. "Viper! Are you okay? We heard you—" Carmen was cut off at what she saw. "...screa....ming..." she finished her sentence. Leo had just come up behind her, shocked at what he saw.
Charlotte Hamato, 17 years old on that very day, had hung herself on her birthday.

Donnie ran into the hallway in front of Charlotte's room. "What's all the commotion?" he asked.
"Ch-Charlotte... she.." Viper began, tearing up as her voice got high pitched and squeaky.
"Viper, you KNOW I can't deal with comforting people!" Donnie said, rather unsettled.
"Donnie, this is serious! Charlotte... hung herself..!" Leo managed so squeak out.
"What..?" Donnie asked, surprised at Leo's serious yet high-pitched tone. Donnie just noticed that Leo was tearing up, a big first since they were turtle tots.
He knew he just made a big mistake.
"She hung herself, Donnie... nobody knows why.." Leo said, uncertainty in his voice. What he failed to know is that Donnie and Viper knew why, but neither of them knew the other one knew. "U-Um.. a-actually.." Viper started, her voice raspy from the crying. "I-I know why she did this..."
"What..?" Leo asked, surprisingly. "Wait, you know why she did this too..?" Donnie suddenly asked, shocking everybody else. "Y-Yeah.. how do you know..?" Viper asked her older brother. "She's been telling me for over the past 2.. 3 years..?" He responded. "I thought she only told me."
"Okay, what is happening and what are you two talking about???" Leo asked, confused as ever. "Its.. her past, to put it lightly." Viper responded. "Her.. past? You mean, before she met us?" Leo asked another question. "Yeah.. so either a few days or so before she met us, I would assume." Donnie responded for his youngest sister, while still keeping the secret Charlotte had told him over these long, treacherous years. "We met her when me and Donnie were.." Leo gasped in the middle of his sentence. "Six years old!" "Oh mi gosh.. you're right.. thats.. thats way too young to experience what she did!!" Viper exclaimed.
"Okay, okay, what IS 'what' in question?" Leo asked, still confused. "I... we.. can't tell you, she told me to keep it a secret, so I would assume she said the same for Donnie." Viper said. "You're right, she did in fact tell me to keep it a secret. This beak is zipped tight, Leo." Donnie said, agreeing with Viper that they couldn't say anything about it. "Alright, I'll respect her wishes, even if they are questionable sometimes.." Leo managed to grumble out. "Good. Now, WE CANT WASTE TIME. LEO, CUT THE ROPE BEFORE SHE SUFFOCATES OR BREAKS HER NECK, IF SHE HASNT ALREADY!" Carmen managed to scream out after being so silent. Leo took one of his katanas and sliced the rope, Charlotte's unconscious body falling to the floor. Donnie and Carmen picked her up immediately after and ran towards the medbay. They were so fast you could barely see them run by.
