THEIR START~

FREEN'S POV:

She didn't reply to any of my questions. It was awkward. I couldn't think of anything i could break the silence with and so i stared on the ceiling for the next few mins expecting for an answer or maybe i got the answer with that silence. She finally broke the silence. But it wasn't a answer she said she was leaving as she had a class. IT WAS EMBARASSING I MEAN JUST WHY DID I HV TO ASK THAT QUESTION I COULD HV JUST KEPT MY MOUTH SHUT AND NOT SEEM LIKE AN ANNOYING CLINGY PERSON WHO KEPT ON ASKING FOR SOMETHING OR THE OTHER TO KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING. I took an leave next day because why would that art teacher give me her work for the exhibition like am i the only kid out of the entire tenth grade who has to help her??? I DONT CARE ABOUT HER EXHIBITION I AM NOT FACING EMMA. I went down to walk for a bit listening to doja cat to stop thinking about stuffs. Emma removed an earphone of mine and put it in her ears NOOO THE LYRICS AH NO WHY NO I MEAN SHE IS A TEEN TOO BUT I WAS LISTENING TO THE SLUTTIEST EDIT AUDIO PLEASE. She said  'wow we have similar taste in music too'. And i nodded for idk what reason- THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD GOTTEN SHY INFRONT OF SM. 'So why did you take a leave today? Is everything fine? I mean are you sick or sm? 'She asked me and i had nthg to say i mean i replied with 'yeah no i am fine just needed a break from school'. SO UR NOT COMING TOMORROW EITHER? why was she was sad about it- not that i hate it but i replied YES WE R ANYWAY NOT DOING ANYTHING AT SCHOOL I LL STUDY AT HOME. Her face saddened. WHY DO U WANT ME TO COME ANYWAY WE DON'T TALK EVEN THO WE R PARTNERS. 'I wanted to participate in the debate with you' THAT LINE WAS THE END OF ME. I stuttered 'm-m-me?' YES UR REALLY GOOD AT DEBATES AND I HAVEN'T DONE ANY IN A WHILE SO I NEED A STRONG TEAMATE. I WOULD LOVE TO I REPLIED. The next day we had to present a debate to get selected for the competition. She sat next to me asking questions about how the 3rd speaker of the debate speaks, in general just how everything worked in a debate. It was her turn to present her points on the topic. I was dumbstruck, she presented as if she had been doing it for years. 

EMMA'S POV:

I was heading back to the class when freen patted my head and told me i did well. That motivated me to do even better in the next round but this time it was on the stage infront of the entire 10th section and so i worked extra hard on presenting a good speech. The next day i was supposed to be the first speaker and when i got on stage i panicked, just something which didn't let me speak without stuttering. And so i stuttered through the entire speech. I was so embarrassed to face freen as i thought i had ruined her efforts, that i couldn't meet her appreciations of the first round and so tears came running down my face which was even more embarrassing but there she was. no not freen but some girl from the next section she came and gave me a tight hug i cried even more trying to read freen's expressions. NO BUT SHE LOOKED JEALOUS MORE THAN DISAPPOINTED. She came to me and said 'it aint ur fault emma u did well' just a single line comforted yet made me question myself even more. She sat the entire time next to me making sure i eat and stop crying. When we were going back together after school i apologized for ruining the competition for freen. And she said ' i stuttered even more on my first debate u did way better than me' OKAY BUT WHY IS SHE SO SWEET. She came in the evening to my house HER HAIR SHE JUST WASHED IT NO I MEAN IT SMELLS GOOD AND THE PERFECT SIDE BANGS  anyways she asked for borrowing my bio's notes she was about to leave and i said 'CAN'T U STAY FOR A LIL LONGER' no i  jumped several heart beats just why did i hv to say this noooo she said SURE LETS GO FOR A WALK. 'It feels so good to be out after whatever happened at the school' she smiled 'ikr' and we both went back home. I DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS THIS KIND TO BUY ME A CHOCOLATE EVEN THOUGH SHE LOST BECAUSE OF ME.
