They gathered in the conference room to discuss the future of Ōtsutsuki Corporation. Hiashi, seated comfortably, surveyed the room before addressing the attendees. His gaze landed on Hinata, and a sly smile appeared on his lips. With a hint of amusement, he acknowledged the presence of Mr. Uchiha and Mr. Uzumaki.

"Toneri, soon to be CEO of Ōtsutsuki Corporation, would like to introduce himself," Hiashi announced as Toneri stood up, moving around the room. Toneri delved into the details of the company's relocation program from America to Japan.

As the meeting progressed, Hinata struggled to concentrate, her mind wandering to Toneri. Despite his seemingly pleasant demeanor, she couldn't shake off her nervousness. When the meeting concluded, she sighed with relief and gathered her belongings, ready to leave.

However, Hiashi interrupted once more, delivering unexpected news. "Before you all depart, I have an exciting announcement to make. I am pleased to inform you that Toneri and Hinata will be engaged."

Hinata froze in disbelief. Engaged? To Toneri? She looked at him, and he smiled as if he were aware of the situation. Congratulations and well wishes filled the room, but Hinata felt as though she were in a fog.

Sasuke couldn't contain his reaction. "That's not happening. I won't allow it," he declared, standing up. Naruto joined in, echoing Sasuke's protest. Hiashi smirked at the two boys before inquiring about their objections.

"It's out of the question. We won't let Hinata be forced into your company affairs, like a forced marriage. It's absurd," Naruto asserted.

"I forbid it," Sasuke added firmly.

Hiashi found amusement in their conversation and inquired further. "And why, precisely, are you forbidding my daughter from being engaged to this fine gentleman?"

"Because Hinata and I are engaged," Sasuke asserted, leaving Hinata gasping in shock. He turned to her with determination in his eyes. "Yes, Hinata and I have been engaged for some time now." Naruto stood there, just as stunned as Hinata, his mouth hanging open.

Hiashi maintained his smirk. "Well, isn't that interesting," he remarked. "Unfortunately, I don't see a ring on her finger. I assume you're making this claim to prevent the engagement."

"We preferred to keep our relationship private," Sasuke shrugged. Relief washed over Hinata at Sasuke's words. Perhaps there was still a chance for them to find their own path and make their own choices.

"Well, Hinata, do you have the ring?" Hiashi inquired, his gaze fixed on her. Blushing, she shook her head. Hiashi's smirk widened. "Without proof of an engagement between you two, I must proceed with the plans for Hinata and Toneri's engagement."

Hinata felt a lump in her throat, unable to believe the situation unfolding before her. She loved Sasuke, but she also understood the significance of Toneri to her family's business. Now, she found herself caught in the middle.

Sasuke's anger flared, his eyes burning with fury. "I won't allow it," he reiterated.

"This is absurd," Naruto interjected, his voice escalating in anger. "You're breaking off their engagement simply because there's no ring? That's ridiculous!"

Hiashi's smirk only grew wider as he observed Sasuke and Naruto's objections. "It's not as simple as that, boys," he replied, leaning back in his chair. "As you both know, Ōtsutsuki Corporation is a vital partner for our business. Hinata's engagement to Toneri would solidify that partnership and secure a prosperous future for our company."

Hinata's heart sank upon hearing his words. She realized her father was right—the business partnership held utmost importance, and her happiness wasn't the primary concern.

Sasuke clenched his fists, his anger palpable. "This is not about business; it's about Hinata's happiness," he seethed through gritted teeth. Naruto slammed his hand on the table. "This isn't fair! Hinata should have a say in this too!" he exclaimed.

"I appreciate your passion, Naruto," Hiashi responded calmly. "However, this matter cannot be taken lightly. We are discussing the future of our company."

Sasuke looked at Hinata, his eyes beseeching her to speak up. But she was speechless, feeling suffocated under the weight of everyone's expectations.

Finally, Hiashi rose from his seat. "I believe our meeting is concluded for today," he stated, dismissing everyone.

As they exited the conference room, Sasuke firmly grasped Hinata's hand. "I won't give up on us," he declared. Naruto took her other hand, offering a sad smile. "I'm sorry we couldn't do more, Hinata," he said. "It's alright, you guys. We'll find a way," Hinata replied, sighing.
