In the Middle - A Rafe Cameron + OBX spin off

On foot

"Charlie RUNNNN!" 

There I was running down the roads in figure 8 with two of my best friends. Who were we running from? Topper that's who and his little pack of kooks.  

"LEFT LEFT GO LEFT" Pope yelled from behind me.

I hoped a gate and ran around the corner, Pope and Kie following suit as we physically threw ourselves into Kie's backyard and ducking behind the fence. 

"WHERE DID THEY GO??" We heard Topper yell. I held my finger to my lips indicating we stay quiet. 

"Hey This is Kiara's house they must have gone in there lets go." Topper said 

"No man, that's private property they are probably gone by now anyways." no other that Rafe Cameron says coming around the corner 

Praying that they would walk away, they eventually did and we toppled onto the ground

"wow, what a way to start off my trip back to the Outer Banks" I said laying on the grass 

"Ya going to be honest didn't think a tour would end in a on foot chase down haha" Pope said laughing 

"that was pretty crazy, well would you guys like to come in? Charlie I am sure dad would love to see you" Kie added

"Sounds good to me" and we headed inside.

Later that evening I went back to my cottage to change and head over to the chateau to meet up with the rest of the group for the big beach party tonight. Every summer since moving out of the OBX I have returned the night before the big summer kick off party and start the summer off right with some of my favorite people in this world. My family owns a cottage on the water right at the cut off of figure 8 before heading into the land of the pogues. I swear if my mother could have it her way we would be living in the heart of the Kooks but with my Nan still living on the other side of the island they made a compromise. 

I arrived at the Chateau and parked my car in the back next to the Twinkie, John B's precious baby.

I heard laughing indicating everyone was out back so I walked around to see the group drinking and having fun.

"AAAAA there she is!" JJ yelled running over to me and picking me up.

"JJ please put me down" I said laughing. He put me down as I followed him over to the group.

As I approached the rest I noticed Sarah Cameron standing next to John B, confused was an understatement but I decided to keep my thoughts to myself. "John B long time no see!" I said reaching out to give him a hug, as we pulled away he started..

"Charlie this is.." "Sarah Cameron, yes I remember you from middle school" I smiled at her 

"Ya she's my girlfriend," John said almost as if he was worried about my reaction.

"really? you could've had anyone and you choose......John B?" I said laughing, just adding a little stress to everyone. 

"Ha Ha okay joker" JB said 

"We ready to head out or what?" Pope said

"ya lets go! I can take 2 in my car, rest in the Twinkie?" I responded

"Sounds like a plan! Sarah and I will go with Charlie!" Kiara yelled dragging Sarah and I to my car.
