               TSUKASA'S POV

I waved goodbye to my sister and headed off to school. Last night I didn't get much sleep since I was on my phone too long but I got enough sleep to be as energetic as always.

Before I realised it I was at the school gates. I could see Nene but she was talking to one if her friends so I didn't bother her. I walked straight to the classroom and waited for Rui to appear.

The bell rang and Rui didn't come to class. Did he get sick? Or did he skip class? I guess I'll find out.

The lunch bell rang and I walked to the rooftop to find Rui. He wasn't here. That's odd. Why would he not come to school the day after the accident?

The day ended quite quickly.

I was worried for Rui but I didn't want to bother him so I didn't visit him.

I arrived home and was welcomed by my sister.

S: Oh? Isn't your purple friend with you?

T: He didn't come to school.

S: Oh that's odd. Didn't you say he was acting weird yesterday?

T: Yea but I didn't think much of it.

S: Maybe you should check on him.

T: Why? He may have gotten sick.

S: Whatever then I'll make you check in your future boyfriend!

T: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!

Without warning she dragged me out of the house. I had no choice and leaded her to the house.

While we were walking, KAITO appeared on my phone. He looked worried.

K: Tsukasa! Someting bad happened!

S: KAITO?!

T: HAH! Oh it's just KAITO. What happened?!

K: Something happened to Rui!

T: What happened to him?

K: There is no time to explain run to his house! I'll tell Nene and Emu!

We started running to Rui's house as fast as we could.

Outside his house we found Nene and Emu trying to open the door. We didn't say anything and ran to his room.

We slammed the door open and we saw...

Rui laying on the floor with bloody  scars on his hand.

What was happening? This had to be a dream right? This couldn't be happening!

We all ran to him. I put my hand on his  neck to check his pulse.

Nothing

I was too stunned to speak. How could this happen. No. Rui wouldn't do this. Nene had called the ambulance. I knew it was no use but I didn't say anything so I wouldn't scare them.

The ambulance arrives shortly after. They took Rui and left. We followed to the hospital and waited.

We waited

And waited.

When the doctor came out of the room we all stood up worried.

He told us the news that I already knew...

Nene looked like she was about to break down. She probably was. We left the hospital. As we got out of the door Nene fell to her knees and started crying about her childhood friends death. We all sat down next to her and hugged her.

If only I had listened to Saki and went back little earlier he could have been saved. It's all my fault
I am a failure to my friends.

Wanted to throw a bad end in there. Ik the fic is terrible but it's my first. Hopefully the second one is better. Hope you enjoyed my work. Until we meet again reader.
