Gluttony is an emotional escape, a sign something is eating us.

Morning was like any other.

Right after my favorite breakfast, I called my restaurant and told the staff to send everything I prepared to our mansion. Everything has to be perfect for tonight.

Just when I managed to solve everything related to food and drinks, I thought about the decoration.

Didn't anyone take it upon themselves?

How can they be so disinterested? They haven't changed at all since childhood.

I am the oldest among them, and I remember everything from the moment we were brought to Sebastian.

Whenever I think of them, I feel some warmth in my chest. I sat down at the table and rested my head in my hands, while in my mind I went back in a time machine to some happier times.

Flashback

- Jungkook-ah, wait! - I yelled as I chased after the little boy, intending to snatch the ball he was holding tightly in his little hands.

He flashed me the most wonderful smile as he turned running to glance at our distance.

I could catch him very easily, but that was not the point. I wanted to see him happy like that.

Just as it was within reach, I felt drops of cold water clinging to me. Thinking it had started to rain, I stepped back a little, turned around the field to see where everyone else was. My eyes fell on the reason which called - the rain in the middle of a beautiful July day.

Taehyung pulled up the hose and started twirling it around, spraying everything around him. I saw his wide smile and then I started running towards him, like the others. We started to grab each other, each pulling to his side, while we were wet to the skin.

Jungkook snuggled into my chest as laughter shook his whole body. I hugged him like he was the most valuable thing in the world. There is no 'like'. He is the most valuable to me.

Ever since I first saw his teary eyes in the orphanage, I took him under my protection. And since then we have become as one.

So my heart is full when I see what kind of man my little Jungkook has grown up to be.

This lasted until we fell from exhaustion and laughter to the hard ground below us.

Namjoon first watched everything from the side, and then when he saw that he also wanted to become a part of this beautiful memory, he took off his glasses so they wouldn't get wet and ran to us.

Hoseok brought delicious cakes, the taste of which I still remember, from a basket that was not far from us. And I have never enjoyed a moment more.

Yoongi and Jimin kicked the ball, which later the five of us tried to catch, but to no avail. Jimin and Yoongi have always been a flawless team.

End of flashback

The call cut me off. It was Jimin, telling me that he still had some work to do at the club and that he would arrive soon. And that was my sign to slowly prepare some food before Namjoon comes, so that we can then head to our destination.

Just as I was enjoying the sweetness of the chocolate, I heard Namjoon click. I hastened to open it for him, when his beautiful face was obscured by a large bouquet of beautiful red roses. I thanked him and told him to hurry up and get ready because we have to go to the mansion.

The ride was peaceful. Namjoon and I enjoyed a shared silence that was worth more than a thousand words. I closed the car door and headed towards a place that has always meant a lot to me.
