Sick.

It was Monday morning, a new week had just started. The skies were clear and brighter than ever. The sounds of birds chirping filled the air, it looked like it was going to be a good day. When suddenly, you woke up with a massive headache.

It wasn't rare for you to have headaches, since you stress out and overthink... a lot. But this time, it was different. It felt as if someone shot you in the head, point blank. And somehow, you also contracted a cold, making it even worse. You were definitely not attending any classes today.

You informed Principal Weems and teachers whom you had class with that you weren't going to attend classes today, via text message. Then your fingered hovered Enid's profile, contemplating on if you were going to tell her or not.

'It's probably for the best that I don't tell her. She'll get worried and tell Wednesday immediately. And that girl would probably skip her classes just to take care of me. Plus, I wouldn't want to get her sick either.' You thought to yourself.

"Yo, dude, you okay? You look like you're on life support right now.." Your roommate Ajax suddenly spoke up, bringing you out of your thoughts.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry about it." You said to the Gorgon with a smile, trying to not make him worried.

"Nah, I see through that fake ass smile. C'mon, tell me what's wrong." Beanie boy said as he sat on the edge of your bed.

You rolled your eyes before sitting next to him. "I'm sick." His eyes widen in shock and immediately puts the back of his hand to your forehead.

"Jeez dude, you're burning! I'm telling Enid and Wednesday!" He said as he quickly took out his phone. You immediately snatched it from him and threw it onto his bed.

"You will do no such thing." You said in your typical menacing tone. Usually, it would've scared him, but this time he wasn't. "They deserve to know man! Especially your girl!" Beanie boy retaliates back.

He tried reaching to his bed to get his phone, but you pulled his Nevermore jacket. "Look Ajax, I just don't want them to get worried. Especially Wednesday."

"But why though? We're all your friends, when you're sick or... hurt, all we would do is just worry about you." Ajax tries convincing you, but you didn't budge.

"That's exactly why. Look- If I find out that you told them something, I will steal your beanies, and burn them. And then, I'll place mirrors everywhere in our dorm. Got it?" You threaten him, which seemed to do the job. Ajax quickly shuts up and grabs his bag, before leaving your shared dorm.

A few minutes later, while you were searching for medicine, your phone suddenly vibrated. It was Enid. She was calling you, spamming you with 'ur late!!' texts. You just ignored it, expecting that she'll stop, but she never did.

So you quickly put your phone on mute, and stored it in your cabinet. After taking whatever remaining medicine you had, you opted to just sleep for the whole day, hoping that you'll get better later.

Wednesday's POV :

Three classes... and Y/N hasn't attended any of them. I was starting to get worried, since he would usually inform me if he were to skip any of his classes.

I haven't seen him all day. What if something happened to him? Perhaps I should ask his roommate, but he was nowhere to be found. So I asked his girlfriend instead.

"Enid. Where is Ajax?" I ask my roommate.

"He's over th- Hey! What do you need him for?" Enid says in an angry tone. Perhaps she was jealous?

"I just wanted to ask him on Y/N's whereabouts." I answered her question. But that didn't stop her looking at me suspiciously.

"Is that so? Or are you trying to steal Ajax from me!?" Enid points her index finger at me. This idiot.
