On planet Naga, a decent size planet, the color green as the grass, with black scales-like patterns making it one of the many unique planets in the Galaxy, the particular appearance resembles the inhabitants living on it.
Among the inhabitants of Naga was a Ngaian male no older than six years old. He was lying comfortably on a brown rock near a river with his eyes squeezed. His appearance was that of the common Ngaian. He had green hair, red eyes shut closed, and greyish/silver skin. However, another typical skin tone for a Nagain is white as a sheet of paper for Nagain and greenish-yellow eyes.
The young boy opened his red eyes with black vertical pupils slightly as he felt an excellent chill brush against his skin. He sighed deeply as he saw stars shining a bright light against the river and rock he was lying on.
A harsh animal cry broke his gaze at the stars. The boy turned to his left to see a decently large black and blue snake creature slithering around, attacking a rabbit running toward a den near the grass, away from the rocky path near the river.
He immediately recognized the creature as one of the many inhabitants of Naga that wasn't a Nagian. It was a Nirai snake.
"A Nirai snake is out getting dinner already," He mumbled, watching the snake carrying off its meal."That means im probably late for dinner," He said quickly, getting up from the rock and rushing home for dinner.
~~~~~
He rushed home, pasting the other young Nagian children heading back inside the stone-style buildings for dinner.
"Apophis!" A familiar female voice shouted out, causing the boy to look over to the voice and saw a familiar Nagain female with skin white as a sheet of paper and greenish-yellow eyes standing outside one of the houses and rushing over to the house.
"Mom!" He shouted as he ran over to the woman that was his mother and followed her inside the house.
"Apophis, you know that you shouldn't be out alone during the night," Nagai said, looking at the young Nagain.
"I know it can be dangerous to be out this late," He replied."I simply fell asleep during my slumber, soaking in the afternoon light and heat," He replied.
Apophis then heard the familiar voice of his father, Rukimaru, lecturing him in the native Nagian language, making him nod in understanding.
"Yeah, I know. I shouldn't have fallen asleep and risked overheating," He stated.
"Dinner, and then start getting ready for bed, even if you already got sleep," His mother commanded, leading him to the stone table to eat, where a bowl of rabbit meat-looking soup was sitting.
He nodded and sat down at the spot where a smaller bowl was awaiting him to eat his dinner before heading on to his room for bed.
"No more basking on rocks far from the house," His father commanded, eating his meal.
"Yeah, I know, father," Apophis said, drinking the remaining liquid of his soup and standing up from the table.
"Time to go get ready for sleep," His mother told him.
Apophis nodded as he headed off to his room to get ready to sleep for the night.
~~~~~
It had been a few hours since Apophis headed to his room to prepare for bed. He slept for about a few hours before heading upstairs to his room.
Apophis eyes snapped open as he heard the sound of a loud screeching cry and screaming. The strange thing was that the source of the shouting and screaming was coming from inside his home.
He quickly pulled off the sheets and got out of his bed. The thought of sleep left his mind, and he rushed out of his room and towards the stair, pausing when he caught sight of what had let out that screeching cry.
He walked toward the scene, his bare feet touching the cold steps, and he walked closer, his body freezing as a giant black snake with red eyes made contact with his own eyes. It halted its moves toward his parents, who looked back at him in fear. The beastly creature was a Conqueox. The main reason why nobody, especially children, shouldn't be roaming around late.
"Apophis, run and get out of here and hide. Don't bother coming back out of hiding until it went!" His father commanded.
Aphophis stood there, hesitant, until he his mother yelled at him.
"Get out of here now!" She shouted.
Aphophis nodded and rushed past the Conqueox snake nearing, missing its massive mouth as he slid past it and out the door and ran off to the safest hiding spot closing his eyes as he heard the screeching and screaming of his parents, afraid of the possible outcomes of the rampage of this Conqueox snake.
He finally stopped running, and he immediately hid underneath a large gray rock that had an opening at the bottom like a roof but with nothing but ground under it and lay on his back, still trying to keep calm as he heard the faint screaming of his parents even hiding as far from the house he could run being so small and young.
After what felt like hours, he heard a familiar screeching coming his way and swallowed, keeping still as he saw a faint shadow of the Conqueox snake slithering past the rock and stopping briefly.
Aphophis froze in fear of the snake picking up on his presence when it finally continued to slither on and off past.
"It's gone, and everything seems quiet," Aphophis said, crawling out from under the rock and looking around to see that he didn't see any others out and about.
Aphophis then started returning home before more Conquox snakes came on out hunting for food or decided to rampage and attack.
~~~~~
The morning he had started to rise. It had been hours since Apophis had returned home, and he was sitting by the window with a hollow expression as he stared at the damage to his home and the bodies of his parents being carried off for their funeral by an older man and woman.
"I don't understand why this had to happen," He said softly, looking out the window as tears fell down his face.
He continued to sit in that same spot watching the way everyone was saying goodbye to his parents. Ge knew that he should have been there but couldn't bring himself to go, not after seeing their dead bodies as soon as he made it back home.
After another few hours of glancing out the window, Apophis ran out of the house, not knowing where he was going, but it was anywhere from the orphanage. He was going to find a way to survive on his own he wasn't going accept a new family and doubt his brother ever return from where ever he had been for the last few years.
Hey readers!
The first chapter is written and published. It took a while to write wasn't happy with how it was written so far. So I had to go back several times and start on over until it was right. This chapter focuses on Apophis and how he ended up losing his family. This will be a blast writing from a different perspective in the future when the story reaches the beginning of the first movie.
At the moment, I want to write a couple of chapters focusing just on Apophis and how he came to be found by Ronan before meeting Nebula and Gamora and starting the beginning of Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1.
I also want to remind you that the relationship between Nebula and Apophis will be slowly developing. They won't get together right away. Nebula is a character with a lot of build-up trauma and issues that she will take time to feel comfortable to start dating anyone. Still, they will have lots of moments together building up the relationship.
I hope you enjoy the chapter! More will be coming soon.
