'Wow, I never thought I would see anyone else in here, not now at least' Daniel said, Smiling. 'Come on, lets get away from here, this room gives me the creeps'. Daniel and Katie walked towards the door, but before they could reach it, the door suddenly shut, and a small *click* indicated it had been locked. Instinctively, Daniel triel to kick it, then punch it, then ram into it. He got nothing, apart from a few bruises. Katie looked around, seeing if anything could help, the chair maybe? She went towards it, and picked it up, it seemed heavy, she moved it about, until she thought of what to do. 'Daniel, move!' She said, running towards the door. Daniel just managed to slide out of the way, before Katie ran into the door at full speed, the chair legs pointing outwards, it went right through. 'Hey, nice thinking' Daniel said, offering a hand out for a high five... She left him hanging...
'We need to actually focus on the goal here, which I assume is to get out of this place?' Katie replied. Rolling her eyes as Daniel pulled back his hand, hurt. She pushed open the now, skewered door, and started to walk away. Daniel followed close behind. 'So where are we going, exactly?' He said. Wondering what Katie was thinking at that moment, how long she had been here, and-'I don't actually know,' She chuckled. 'Where do you want to go?' She smiled, waiting for his response. 'I want to go to the exit,' Daniel shot back, instinctively trying to settle the tension from that previous failure. Katie laughed, you mean that? Pointing to a sign on the wall, it read 'exit'. Daniel was gobsmacked, where had that been before? How long had it been there? Was it really an exit? Was it a trap? 'C'mon, lets go!' Katie said, not waiting for him, walking in the direction of the sign. Daniel opened his mouth to say something, but closed it again, he would probably kill the mood again. 'But it just seems to easy, like it's too good to be true,' He thought.
He followed still, trying to be optimistic, but something still didn't seem right...
Tap. Tap. tap.
'KATIE!' Daniel hissed. 'HIDE!' She did so, hiding in a nearby cupboard, he hid behind a desk, listening out for the creature from, he checked his phone, 7%, approximately... 8 hours ago!? He had been here for 8 HOURS!? He turned his phone off, and held his breath. The creature emerged, and paced down the corridor, the familiar scent trailed back to Daniels nose, wrinkled in disgust. It left, and Daniel emerged from the desk, and gave an 'all clear' signal to Katie. She came out of the cupboard, they continued down the corridor they were in, listening carefully for anything that could cause them harm, like that creature or *)#"':*£, (Daniel had informed Katie on him? Earlier). They made it to the end of the corridor, and saw another sign for 'exit', this one however, seemed ore sloppily drawn on, like a 6 year old had quickly scribbled it on the wall. Still, even though there was a potential danger. Katie pressed on, telling Daniel to 'keep up' or 'Move those feet!' Every so often, like an impatient fitness instructor.
Finally, after hours of achingly boring walking, with nothing but each other, Daniel moaning every five minuted that his legs hurt, and just being bored in general, Katie decided it would be best to rest. So they set up camp in a discarded room, with many exits, so they could escape if ambushed by something, it even took an hour just to find the right room, not too many exits, not too little, this one had too low of a ceiling, that one too high. Katie was ready to just give up until Daniel finally decided on this one. They both got down on the floor and closed their eyes, Daniel thinking about what his mother would feel, when she discovered that he was not in bed, the house, or anywhere near. She would file a missing persons report, call his phone a few times, not as if he could pick up, he had no service, and besides, he only had about 2% left...
Daniel groaned as he opened his eyes, starving as he had not eaten in ages, he thought about his mom's cooking, drooling a little... 'ew,' Katie said, ruining his daydream, 'we need to get going!' Reluctantly, Daniel picked himself up, hot, sticky, and a little groggy from having slept on the floor, in his clothes. 'C'mon,' Katie said, 'We need to get going if we are going to reach that exit!' Daniel opened the door, and gasped, but nothing was there...
