"Thanks."
Sydney told the woman as she grabbed the folder.

She held a small smile until she was in her car when she then let out a heavy sigh. She had just finished with her second college tour of the day and was exhausted.

The universities she'd seen hadn't satisfied her so far. The thought of going to a college near Spencer crossed her mind a few times.

She knew not to follow a boy but couldn't see herself happy anywhere else. Kia was striving for an elite university which Sydney didn't feel enough motivation to do so as well.

Her eyes glanced to her vibrating phone as she drove down the road. Her thumb pressed decline then skipped to the next song.

"This girl.."
Roman said, at home, as he looked at his phone.

Sydney didn't second guess her actions as she denied his call again then texted Spencer.

Sydney was still mad at Roman, and Tyrone, for being secretive. She felt that she needed to be in the know regardless of how dangerous it could be.

Sydney slowly pulled to a stop along the curb. She turned the car off, grabbed her things then got out to head inside.

As her feet crossed the threshold, she suddenly stopped as she spotted the group of people sitting in the living room. They quietly stared at her until she spoke.

"This feels like an intervention." She guessed.

"It is. Spencer ain't being too smart." Chris replied.

"So your plan is to ambush him with an intervention? All of you?" She continued.

"Don't worry, it'll work. We know Spencer, he'll be fine."

Sydney chuckled.

"Do we know the same Spencer? He's gonna hate this. Ms. Grace?"

Grace slowly shrugged her shoulders, indirectly siding with the other teens. Sydney shook her head as she put her bag in his room.

"He needs this, Syd. I mean with Coop and everything... We need some good around here." Patience said.

Their heads turned to the front door when someone knocked. Sydney walked over to open it, surprised to see Spencer.

"Why are you knocking?"

"I lost my key, big head, that's why." He playfully answered, softly mushing her head.

"What's all this?" He asked once he saw everyone.

"Don't be mad. We're all just worried about you." Chris said.

"Baby, everybody is here because they love you, and they want the best for you." Grace spoke.

Sydney bit her lip to avoid smiling as she watched Spencer simply look at them. She knew he didn't want everyone hounding him but he was stuck.

"If I didn't know any better, I'd say y'all were staging some kinda intervention." Spencer said.

"We are." Chris replied.
