Chapter 27

*Skip To December*

"Happy one year in LA!" My dad yelled as I walked downstairs. I laughed as I saw the make shift decorations. "Wow, this is great." I said pointing to the streamers replaced with toilet paper. He laughed. "So, any plans?" He asked. "Well, not today. Tomorrow we have movie night at Hype and I guess Addi is excited that it's been 1 year since I've met everyone out here. Sooooo... yeah. Also Jadens song comes out tomorrow. So we're gonna have a mini celebration." I said. "How nice." He said. "Yeah." "You and Jaden are doing okay, yeah?" He asked. "Yeah. We're doing really good." I said with a smile. "I'm happy for you two. He really makes you happy." He said. "He really does." I said happily. He smiled. "You guys have been together almost a year right?" He asked. "Yeah, February is a year." I said with a smile. "He's a god kid. You two are good together." My dad said. I fought back asking the question I've wanted to ask for months, but I just needed to know. "Dad, you knew my mom pretty well... right?" I asked. "Yeah, we we're great friends for a long time." He said. "Okay, we'll, I don't remember much if her before she started getting really bad into drugs n stuff..." I started. "Okay, where is this going?" He asked. "Do you think mom would have liked him? Like do you think she would be happy about him and I together?" I asked. "Yeah, your mom always told me she hoped one day she would have a kid who would be happy. Find someone who truly cares about them. She would be so happy for you. And as for liking Jaden, it would be hard for her not to." He said. A tear rolled down my cheek. "Really?" I asked. He nodded before he came closer to me and hugged me. As we pulled apart he looked at me. "Chlo, if you ever want to know anything about your mom before you were born. Please come talk to me. I'll answer any questions you have." He said. "It means a lot. I missed out on a lot with my mom." I said softly. I looked at him again and said, "Im just glad I have you." I smiled. "I love you kiddo." "I love you too dad." I said.

*Later*

I had spent most of the day with my dad, but soon he had to leave he had a meeting with his label and stuff. I laid on my bed. I decided why not post a few drafts on TikTok.

I smiled at the comments. I can't believe tomorrow is a year since I met Jaden and most of my friends. It seems impossible that it's already been a year. It's crazy that it's been a year since I've moved to LA. Like holy shit. Everything about this seems so crazy.

*The Next Night*

I walked into Hype and instantly I was hugged by Addi. "AHHHHH! HAPPY ONE YEAR OF MEETING EVERYONE!" She said making me laugh. "Jeez, give her some room to breathe." Bryce said making me laugh harder. "Everyone is basically here." Addi said with a smile. "Okay." I said. I closed the door and I walked to where we were holding our movie night. I saw Jaden sitting talking with Chase. "Hey boys." I said with a smile. Jaden looked at me and moved quickly to hug me and then he kissed my lips. "I love you." He said softly. "I love you too."  I said with a smile. "You guy want a minute?" Chase asked with a small laugh. I rolled my eyes. "So, we have a lot to celebrate tonight!" Addison said. "First, it's everyone's one year meet-a-versary with Chloe, but also, Better off dead come out in like 45 minutes." Addison said. I looked at Jaden with a smile. I know Jaden was excited about releasing this song. He smiled back.

*later*

So better off dead had been out for awhile, and now we're watching some random ass movie that Bryce picked. I laid cuddled with Jaden. Bringing back memories to the night we started dating. The way I felt being held be him hadn't changed. I still get butterflies when his fingertips softly dance on my bare skin. I will never get used to the feeling of him with me. I mean, holy shit. He's mine!?! I seriously got so lucky. "I love you." He whispered to me. "I love you too." I said. My phone buzzed so I looked at it. Addi tagged me in something. I opened it and it was a story. A zoomed in picture of me and Jaden. "Jae." I said. "Hmm?" He hummed. "Look." I showed him my phone. He let out a small chuckle. "Just like the night we started dating." He said. "Exactly." I said with a smile. He kissed my forehead softly. "This is so perfect." I said. "What?" He asked. "Us, our friends, everything." I said.
