LORI
We got to our seats and waited in anticipation for the show to start. Monica sat next to me while Nia sat on her other end. The lights were still on as people were still walking to their seats.
After another ten minutes of waiting, the opening act came on. Monica and I didn't really listen to her music like that but the songs she played were definitely a vibe and I most definitely will be checking her out after tonight's show. I made a mental note of that so I can remember to talk about her in my YouTube video that my subscribers asked me to do when I posted on my Instagram that I was going to the show.
Mayan, the opening act, gave a great thirty-minute set before she thanked the crowd and made her way off the stage. Once the lights dimmed, smoke started to fill the stage as well as the beat of The Wright Ones song 'Like that' began to fill the speakers, the sound vibrating throughout the arena. Monica and I squealed in excitement.
Elijah's verse was first in the song so he was the first one to make his way to the stage. We heard his voice before we saw him as he rose to the stage making his entrance. He stood on the far left of the stage and continued singing. Fixing his earpiece with one hand, he held his microphone in the other. He was wearing a black T-Shirt with a pair of denim blue jeans. His hair was tied as his dark brown hair had been placed in a man-bun. His face showed some stubble as his facial hair seemed to be growing back again.
Monica fanned herself at the sight of him while I couldn't agree more. He was hot. But the one I really came to see was Dallas whose Verse was just about to start. His entrance is similar to Elijah's as also begins to ascend from the stage.
He looks as gorgeous as ever wearing a similar outfit to Elijah's. So I'm guessing that black shirts and jeans were what the band decide to wear tonight. Dallas was quick to wave once people started to scream and shout his name and I was right there with them.
You're so fine, Dallas!
Marry Me, Dallas!
Ugh! The things I'd let him do to me!
"Woooo! Dallas! I love you!" I cupped my hands around my mouth and shouted while jumping up and down as the beat started to pick up the tempo.
Monica says loudly to me over the music, "Yeah, bitch, you and everyone else!" I scoff jokingly and continue dancing but I wince when I feel her grab my arm and squeeze it when Austin's verse starts as he begins to ascend to the stage from his platform.
She begins to scream just like all the other delusional no-taste having fans of Austin, "Bitch! There goes my baby!" She jumps and down holding onto my arm and all I can do is stare at her, Nia's expression mirroring mine as I rip my arm out of Monica's grasp.
Austin begins to sing his part of the song but even though it's only three of them on the stage, we can hear Nathan's live vocals albeit his presence is not being shown to us physically.
Dallas was wearing his favorite accessory, a baseball hat while Austin whose hair was in locs, had his locs pulled into a ponytail.
Austin's name was being chanted just like Dallas's. I heard Monica scream, "Be mine, Austin! Be mine forever baby, I love you!"
I elbow her and mockingly say, "Yeah, bitch, you and everyone else!" I laugh as she shoos me and continues dancing.
The screams get louder as the man who was singing backup vocals prior to coming to the stage, was beginning to make his appearance now that the song was coming to the bridge. He ascended to the stage as the fourth and final member and I swear I could feel my eardrums burst at how unhinged the women in the arena were sounding right now.
