"Grandma!" A voice called. As he walked through the metallic hallways, the sound of his space boots clanging against the metal floors bounced off the walls and echoed perpetually. "Grandma!! Where are you?" Branch, though significantly younger, trotted through the long and seemingly endless hallways searching for a certain someone.

"Ah,,Cant find her." The troll mumbled. His grandma was his only guardian. After his parents passing, Caused by the infamous impostor, or one of, His grandma took him in and raised him like a son. Although she wasn't his mother, she felt like one.

He continued to search the halls.

He knew his grandma meant safety. She always has, right?

Always.

But when he walks into Admin to finish up the last of his tasks, still on his journey to find his grandma, this belief becomes unreliable.

His eyes opened for but a moment. "Wait, This isn't how it went- Wait- what?" Branch mumbled, pinching the bridge of his nose trying to reach deep into his memories to recall the truth of this dark night. He was unable. As far as he knew, His grandma saved him from the one and only impostor this very night. She was a victim to his reapings in the process. Was this really how it went? He couldnt remember now, and soon he was swept into the foggy haze once again.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

His grandmas teeth were sharp, tongue long and sharp. Her eyes glowing red in the dark room, lit by a green light coming from a table in the middle of the room. Her sick and twisted crimson eyes quickly glanced behind her at the sound of his boots echoing against the metal floors once more. She sat up quickly, and in one sharp flick of the tongue, cleaned the blood off of her once drenched lips. her mouthful of sharp teeth twisted into a smile as she turned around.

Branch was in shock.  His grandma was.. The impostor?

Soon, Anger overtook his shock.

"You- YOU MONSTER." he wailed.

He knew he would never trust this woman again. This was no family of his. this was the Impostor. A sick demonic and ugly creature, inside and out. he felt shivers up his spine as the memories from his childhood flooded his brain. His grandma pushing him on the swings. Singing to him, Reading to him.

It was all a facade.

he hesitated, she smiled.

If his parents were murdered by the impostor-

His glaring grey eyes matched a grinning red pair.

"I see you've figured it out, Yeah?" The voice sounded nothing like his grandma. He couldn't handle it anymore, and he knew what to do.

He turned around and he ran.

He ran to the lobby as fast as he could. Even though he heard no footsteps yet, He knew she would be behind him if he were to look. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he imagined himself winning a race. he would win. he always wins. that was something his grandma used to always praise him for.

He always wins.

He had to time this right.

Still running, he forced himself to speed up and put as much effort as he could. He didn't know much about impostors, but he was aware of their abilities. his grandma, (Should he even be calling her that? That's not his grandma. That's the impostor. he had been lied to.) used to teach him their abilities. The first red flag he should've noticed. Thinking back , it all made since. Anyway, Forget that. He knew they had the abilities to shut doors on command. He saw the main door to the lobby ahead, and knew he had to time it right before she could close it. As he reached the door,

He jumped. Leaped.

And just as he thought, the door shut quickly behind him milliseconds after he had left its range. he heard a loud grunt of defeat from the other side and grinned to himself. He ran slightly slower, attempting to catch his breath, and pressed the emergency meeting button.

He did not cry when he saw her, in all her glory, sharp teeth exposed for thew word to see, brows furrowed. He did not cry watching her fly away to the endless void called space.

He did not cry.
