you didn't make it. he tried to save you but it was no use. so now your husband writes you letters and leaves them on your grave with a new flower everyday... but his longing for you soon becomes all too much for him

tighnari's eyes widened as he felt the sharp blade harshly enter his chest. he stood over your grave crying for the past two hours, ears down in sadness. his tail that always swayed back and forth in excitement whenever he sees you, is now still.
he couldn't take it anymore. he lived as long as he could for you because he knew thats what you would have wanted. you would have wanted him to find someone new and live a happy life with them. you would have wanted him to take as much care of himself as he could.
but he couldn't.
he didn't want someone new. he wanted you. he couldn't take care of himself when he could feel his heart break every minute he's without you.
tighnari's blood dripping onto your grave, as his eyes started watering from the last memory he saw of you. him holding you in his arms as the two of you watched the flowers dancing in the wind and the butterflies that fluttered around them throughout the forest.
that was the last thing tighnari remembered before he woke up.
it was bright. the sun blinding his eyes as he was still slowly waking up. standing up, he looked down to notice that he was no longer bleeding and his body didn't feel numb from the adrenaline anymore.
he felt... free.
tighnari was still confused though. he walked around this unknown place looking to find someone that could help him. he felt lost because he didn't know where he was but for some reason he also felt good.
but then he saw something. something very familiar. he slowly walked over to what he saw, and the closer he got, the clearer he was able to tell what he saw that made his ears perk up in such curiosity.
"y/n?" tighnari said. you immediately turned your head when you heard a familiar voice call your name. "t-tighnari?!" your eyes widened in shock, seeing your husband standing there.
you ran right into his arms and he was quick to wrap his arms and tail around you. "what are you doing here?!" you asked hesitantly, hoping that he didn't hurt himself just to see you.
"love, i- i couldn't stay alive much longer. there was no point since i would have died from a broken heart either way.. i needed to see you, im so sorry for not being there for you. i- i love you so so much and i-"
tighnari was cut off by soft lips that connected to his. you pull away to say "it's okay. i love you too and i read every letter you had set on my grave. every word touched my heart and made me cry a little."
tighnari's eyes started to water once he heard you say that you read his letters. the gods were really caring enough to send the letters to his wife. he was happy that they were kind enough to actually do that for him.
he was happy to finally hold you again. he was happy to finally hear your voice. he's been longing for your scent, your touch, the beautiful voice that was like peaceful music to his ears every time you spoke.
"nari?" you looked up at him. "yes?" "i love you. so much." he was happy to hear those words escape your lips. and he was happy to finally say the words he'd been wanting to say to you for what felt like eternity.
"i love you too."
you softly smiled, looking into his eyes as you broke the hug to lead him to a different spot to rest.
you moved some vines out of the way, still guiding your husband to the spot you were taking him. "love, where are we going?" he asked. "you'll see." you say moving more vines to reveal a beautiful view.
there was a small pond in the middle of the empty park with a tree that had a wooden swing hanging off the branch. the sunlight beaming through the trees that surrounded the beautiful park with flowers growing all around.
the same exact kind of flowers that he sent you.
tighnari's eyes glowed even more when he saw the sight of the flowers. "are those.. the flowers i sent you?" he asked pointing. "mhm." you replied getting on the swing.
"come push me." you looked back at him who lightly shook his head and smiled, heading towards the swing.
he gave you a light push, making you giggle. tighnari couldn't help but smile and wag his tail in happiness now that he gets to be with his wife that he so desperately missed.
