ABBA stars Benny and Frida Andersson adopt orphan and introducing her to public
On the 19th April 1984 was ABBA star Anni-Frid Andersson (née Lyngstad) seen entering an orphanage in central Stockholm. Months later announced the couple that ( in addition to their now seven year old daughter) they had taken a nine year old orphan in. A few months later asked a TV host her about their foster child. "I've heard you take care of a little girl in foster care." - "Not really. Foster care is only a temporary thing and she will stay with us forever. Actually we are currently trying to adopt her but that is still a long way to go. Maybe she will be officially our daughter in a year or so but I don't think that will change much. She is our daughter and it doesn't really matter that she is not our biological child." He later on asked her if they would ever show her to the public. "At the moment not. Maybe in a few years gif she wants to. At the moment she says directly that she doesn't want to be in the media and we completely respect that. We also didn't show Francesca to the public until two years ago. It was just that we want to protect her and now she says by herself that she is fine with that."
Yesterday they announced happily that they had finally adopted their daughter and also decided to introduce her to the public.
"It has been a long process but we are happy that she is now legally our daughter. We are very blessed to have her in our lives and cannot think about a life without her." - Frida Andersson told a reporter of our magazine.
