Christmas, it's that time of the year where everyone gathers around with their families, celebrating this once-in-a-year event.
Though, today is only the eve before Christmas.
Your new life along with your brothers, as Shouko's children were still something that makes you continue to look forward each day; back when you were all still living with your biological mother, it's as if your own body was just moving on its own without any purpose but to continue on functioning as you live your life through that kind of hard life that was brought to you by your useless mother.
But ever since Shouko had adopted you, Riku, and Sora, even if there isn't much for you to look forward to; like having new clothes or new toys, the warmth of having a mother who looks after her children, still tops over those kind of materialistic things.
You now have all the reasons to look forward for a new day to live it voluntarily yourself.
It has only been few days since you met your new friend Mitsuya who just so happened to be your neighbor in this apartment where you and you're brothers are living; so far, being friends with Mitsuya was something that makes you feel happy and your life quite enjoyable. Aside from the fact that both of you have lots of similarities when it comes in being the oldest sibling of two younger ones, you and Mitsuya just clicked together.
Just like what you've promised to him, you have been dropping by next door along with your brothers to go and hang out with them, while Riku and Sora would often play with Luna and the baby Mana, who seemed to be enjoying their presences so much.
Mrs. Mitsuya herself was quite happy, seeing that her children had new friends that made them happy; and even supporting her eldest son who is in the same situation as you—being the oldest sibling out of three.
Albeit she was often out because of her work, you could see that every time that she's with her family, she has this very welcoming warmth in her that made you to immediately like her.
You could say that because every time you, Riku and Sora would hang out to their place whenever Shouko would be working at the hospital because of her work as a pediatrician—Mrs. Mitsuya would always leave some homemade food for you and everyone to eat and she even wanted to have your mother, Shouko, to join them in a small gathering.
You could just understand where did Mitsuya got his kindness, selflessness, and every positive details about him you could think about.
