Orange Sunset

Chapter 1

A another day, the sun shines through as many woken up to start their day.

Somewhere far and hidden in the sky, floats an island and in that island have a small village.

The remaining echidnas, they live in peace, they have for many years after that "chaos" but they all lived peacefully.

The male echidnas worked for the village, while the female echidnas stays to watch over the younglings that are playing around or watch over their eggs.

The echidnas will born as eggs first then hatch into youngling echidnas, then they will grow up into adult echidnas next and to elder echidnas.

A male maroon echidna with blue eyes wearing pale peach tribe clothes, his deadlock quills are slightly longer and have white stripes tatoos on them.

He carried a log that he cutted down from a old tree and bring it back to the village, he grunted as he lift the log and over his shoulder using his strength and start to walk heading towards the village.

He sees a femilliar male crimson echidna wearing a same tribal clothes as him but in a dull peach color instead and have spikes on his knuckles, while walking there putting a smile on his muzzle as he stop.

"Locke! How are you?" said the echidna in gruff but friendly voice, the echidna known as Locke look over who called him and smiled seeing who it was as he start to walk over the maroon echidna.

"I've been doing fine brother, how's Sora-su?" Locke asked the maroon echidna revealing that it's his brother as the maroon echidna smiled.

"doing fine, she's slightly sick but she will start to recover soon" the maroon echidna answered to the other as locke nodded.

"i see, i hope she goes well. By the way have you seen my wife?" Locke asked as the maroon echidna raise a brow.

"your wife? Isn't she suppose to be at your home? Last time i remembered she's preparing the egg to hatch" said the echidna making Locke widen his eyes a bit.

"wait, it's already at this day? I thought the egg is suppose to hatch a week or so" said Locke in slight disbelief as the maroon echidna chuckled slightly shaking his head a bit.

"you should go brother, or you will feel the wrath of your wife" the maroon echidna said joking a bit as Locke blinked and nodded.

"i see then i will, i shall have my leave" he said as the maroon echidna nodded and locke run off back to the village to witness his child's birth as the maroon echidna continue his way.

The maroon echidna came to his home and sees his wife asleep a amber colored echidna wearing brown tribe clothes but longer, the maroon echidna walked over his sick wife with a concern expression, putting his hand on her forehead and feeling the heat from it before taking his hand away and letting out a sigh.

The female echidna slowly open her eyes reveling it to be brown eyes and look over, she smile slightly seeing her beloved husband back home as her husband smiled back.

"hello love...your back.." she said in a quite tone but the male can still hear her making him nodded putting a hand on her.

"yes i do...have you been taking your medicine..?" the male asked as the female nodded slightly she started to cough causing the male to panick a bit but tried to make himself calm and rubbed his wife's back gently as she continued to cough.

When the cough is gone she have her eyes slightly open as her husband knew what she's thinking.

"love...please don't think your useless...you will recover soon..I'll make sure of it" the male echidna said to the female making her to look at him and weakly smiled.
