The setting sun shines its rays over the mock buildings of Ground Beta, some reflected off of the windows. Reina runs down the street, looking side to side periodically in a lookout for Hawks. Before she ran in, she knew that Hawks wasn't going to make it easy for her, but that fact wasn't going to make her chicken out of this.
Reina: 'I can't let myself get worked up into frustration here. Though, seeing a portion of Hawks' personality, this'll be more of a test than the actual combat test...'
The hero stood perched on one of the roofs of the mock buildings, watching Reina from above. A smirk forms on his face as he prepares to make the first strike.
Hawks: 'This'll be fun. Let's see what you can do, Kodama. Show me how strong your wind can blow!'
Feeling like something's watching her, Reina skids to a stop, looking up, left, and right for any sign of movement around her. She starts fidgeting two fingers of her right hand in an attempt to sense what's about to strike.
Hawks sees this, his smirk not leaving his face. He knew she would feel that he's watching her. He skydives from the building, aiming to ambush the teen. Before he could air-tackle her, Reina jumps out of the way, backflipping away from that spot, as Hawks lands were she was.
Hawks: "Let's dance, Kodama!"
Reina: "Gladly!"
Hawks sends a wave of his feathers out towards Reina, and she responds by letting the wind envelop her forearms, and deflects the feathers off of the wind. She then makes the x-shape above her head, swiping her arms to create the x-shaped wind beam. Hawks guards against the beam with his wing, although it pushes him back a bit. The lavenderette runs at him, looking to get in a kick, but the hero pushes her back with his wing. Reina luckily catches herself, say just in time for Hawks to come charging at her really fast with one of his enlarged feathers in his hand, giving her barely enough time to jump away from him.
Hawks: "Impressive reflexes, kid! Seems like he wanted to focus on your reaction time before the combat aspect. What a way to flip the tradition on its head~."
This time, Reina didn't let the taunting get to her head. She somehow knew he was trying to get a reaction out of her in order to make her slip up. And after letting taunts rub off on her twice, she was not going to allow her anger to control her again. The only emote she did was narrow her eyes at Hawks.
The pro hero then decided to take the battle into the sky, spreading his wings, and soaring upwards. Reina followed suit, jumping into the air with a boost of wind. The two were then level with each other in the air, staring holes into one another, until they both charged toward the other, colliding together multiple times.

All of the staff, meanwhile, were watching the battle in the camera room. They were somewhat surprised that Hawks decided to "up the ante" this early on in the test.
