30 Day OTP Challenge [Continuation] (Killermare/Nightkiller)

~Day 22: Gazing in each others eyes~

The atmosphere was chill and calming, it was dawn and the castle was dark. The candles illuminated the hallway giving off a soft glow

Nightmare and Killer were in the library, sleeping in each other's arms. The fire in the fireplace (which is still surprisingly still lit) giving off warmth to the surroundings

Nightmare stir up from his sleep. He rub his one good eye and stare at the position he's in

He was laid back on the couch with Killer sleeping on top of him, legs separate

A small blush emitted on Nightmare's face, his brain couldn't comprehend what was happening and just, stared at the sleeping Killer

Subconsciously, a tentacle wrapped itself onto Killer, like in a protective way. Killer slowly woke up with a tiny and adorable yawn

Nightmare blushed of course

Killer looked up and saw Nightmare staring at him "Sorry if I woke you up.." Nightmare's voice was barely audible but Killer heard it

"You didn't woke me up" Killer said and sat up, only problem is-, he's on top of Nightmare..

Killer noticed and blushed. A. Lot. He felt really embarrassed and quickly got off of him

"S-Sorry about that" he mumbled with a cherry face

'Well that's lovely! It won't be so awkward now wouldn't it?!' Killer though as his blush worsens, thought when he glanced at Nightmare, the octopus doesn't even seem bothered!

Did he not hear it? Was his mind drifting off somewhere else? Or is his brain just not working right now?

Killer noticed the one tentacle that was shot swaying behind them. It seems like it didn't regenerate nor heal..

Since Nightmare was currently in a trance-like state, Killer decided to at least wrap the tentacle in a bandage

He took the first aid kit from inside the cabinet and carefully held Nightmare's injured tentacle, he glanced at the taller and he didn't seem to notice anything

Killer quietly sighed in relief and focused on wrapping the tentacle. Let's just hope that Nightmare doesn't notice any further

As Killer secures and tightens the bandage, Nightmare snapped out of his trance and glanced at Killer who just finished wrapping the bandage around his tentacle

"Thank you.." Nightmare said and looks away, slightly covering his face and his small blush "I-It's fine boss, hope you don't mind"

Both stayed silent to the point that sound only made came from the fireplace

"I'm sorry again.." Nightmare whispered making Killer look at him with a sad expression. He hesitated a bit but cupped Nightmare's cheek and made him look at him

"It's ok boss, I'm here if you need me!" Killer's smile was bright and beautiful, it didn't help that it matches with his beautiful eyes as well

"Have I ever told you that your eyes are beautiful.?" Nightmare bluntly stated. Killer's expression went from a supportive smile to a shocked face, his hands quickly retracted as Nightmare realized what he just said. Killer always thought that his eyes were ugly and that no one liked them

"Please, don't say that.." Killer sounded disappointed and disgusted at the mentioning of his 'eyes'. He looks away from Nightmare in pure shame

It was then Nightmare's turn to cup Killer's cheek, he caressed it and smiled at him "Your eyes looks so beautiful, like an endless night sky shimmered in billions of stars" though Killer's eyes were just an empty void, to Nightmare, it looks beautiful

Killer was touched with Nightmare's words and in turn did the same "Well your eye looks like a gem, it's so hypnotizing that it draws me near you. I just can't help but stare at them all the time"

They smiled at each other while one caresses the other's cheek, Killer held Nightmare's hand that was on his cheek and nuzzles it a bit

They stare into each other's 'eyes' (well technically Killer staring at Nightmare's one good eye while Nightmare stares at Killer's void eyes-) drowning in passion and careness
