Before highschool (1st grade)
The sun burning on your skin, the blue skies and high clean grass. Everyday you would run out into the field of high grass when playing around with Evan (little Evan)
When you stopped in the middle of the field, you look around trying to find him while playing tag. But you couldn't
"Evan?" You ask innocently but the only thing you heard was the birds chirping.
"Evan if you don't come out I'm gonna leave" but still there was no answer. So you turn around but bump into him when he scared you on purpose making you scream and fall to the ground
"Gotcha" he says laughing hard
You get up harshly and push him "that wasn't funny!"
"Yes it was!"
You let him finish laughing and he finally stops now not knowing what else to do.
"So ummm...what now?"
You look around for what else to do and spot a tall tree wanting to climb it
"Let's climb that" you say excitedly and pull his hand
After you two have been on the tree watching the sunset you two been talking about anything with each other
"So what's your daddy like?" He asks
"My daddy? Well...I never really seen him in a while, as a matter of fact I don't even remember what he looks like. That's how long it's been"
"Oh, sorry" he says looking down
"For what?"
"I don't know, but I seen on movies when somebody mentions a family dead, you're supposed to say sorry"
"Oh. What kind of movie was it?"
"A nasty movie, they would always kiss in there"
"Ew" you immediately say
"I know"
"......have you...ever kissed someone?"
When you ask that he immediately looks at you with wide eyes
"Um, no....have you?"
"No"
You both get quiet for a bit but then you look back at him and he does the same with you.
"Do you...wanna try?" He asks you
"Um...ok, but don't tell my momma"
"Ok"
You both lean in slowly closing your eyes hard shut, and give each other a little peck before quickly pulling away and saying "Ewww!"
"Y/n! You get down from there right now!" Your mom yells for you from the backyard door.
"Uh oh" you say and climb down and Evan following you down. You start to run back to your house but Evan grabs your hand
"Y/n, you're my best friend"
"You're mine too" you say smiling at him
"Y/N!"
"Ok gotta go, see you tomorrow Evan" you say whispering as you slowly run back to your house
"See ya" he says standing in the high grass watching your mom pinch your ear leading you into the house
