"Gosh I hate you right now, you know that?" I say, catching my breath.

"What, you've never been jogging before?" She said, chuckling at me, trying to give a helping hand. "You know, you won't make it through gym once school starts back up if you can't even jog for one minute!"

"If you weren't my best friend, I would literally punch you, you know that right?" I scold, shoving her hand away while staring at her intimidatingly, at least I thought.

"Keep staring, ain't nothin' i'm ashamed of!" She twirls around while flipping her hair, showing off the highlights she got last summer, that my parents didn't let me get.

"Delilah, please stop. Im already upset enough that I couldn't get the highlights from last summer, no need to show yours off." I sigh, getting up and starting to head back home. "Y'know, sometimes I wonder if I'm ever going to be allowed to even pick out my own clothes. It sucks that I had to stop by your house before school just to change into a half decent outfit. I love my parents, but would it hurt to give me a tiny ounce of freedom?"

"Hey, trust me, I get it. I'm sorry I made you feel like this, I was simply trying to lighten the load off your shoulders. I know how stressed out you've been and I just wanted to find a way to help."

"Ugh, I know, my bad I've just been in a bad mood today. Wanna come over? We can watch those R rated movies and turn it off if my mom walks in?" I chuckled, grabbing my phone scrolling for a movie to find while I wait. "Maybe we can watch one of those comedic horror movies with interesting make out scenes?"

"Now how am I supposed to turn that down? I'll bring some snacks, and i'll be over around 6:30." She runs her way home, before I could ask her to bring my all time favorite snacks, but I trust her. She makes the BEST snack platters.

I start walking home, putting headphones on and jamming to my favorite playlist. Dancing as I walk, I couldn't think of a way this day could get any better.

"HEY YOU!" Someone shouts. "HEY! LISTEN WEIRDO." They throw their ice cold water all over my sweater, laughing at the sight.

I start shouting once I realized someone just threw some water on my sweater, thank god my sweater's thick. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I yell as I take off my headphones.

"Sorry, thought you were deaf or something." He says, smirking at how pressed I was. "I tripped anyhow, this is some bumpy concrete ain't it? It's my bad. You live in this neighborhood?"

"You must've got me messed up if you think I'm gonna believe that." I muttered. "And why would I tell you where I live? You could be a serial killer for all I know, which is why I'm heading out." I start dashing home.

"Hey now, come on, i'm your age! Freshman right?" He guesses.

"Nope, Sophomore. Please stop following me, being my age doesn't justify you not being a serial killer. My best friends a bodybuilder too! She will beat you right where you stand!" No she isn't, but man, she sure could be with how she works out.

"Right, surely not the best friend that you were just talking to, right?"

"Obviously not." I panted, I don't know if im sweating from running, or because this is a matter of if I can lie on the spot or not. "That was my sister, and she was jogging with me until she had to go home to dog her walk." I proudly say.

"Dog your walk, huh. Wouldn't that mean she would be heading home with you, if she was heading home to "dog her walk"?" He questions.

"Yep! Wait no, goodness just leave me alone! I don't care who you are, or why you're here, just go away insect. I have a taser specifically for these situations." I threaten.

"Can I even believe your fables anymore?" He looks away in disbelief.

"Chill, stop acting like you've known me for years. And yes, I'm not lying this time, see?" I pull out my taser, showing him the works. "Now now, don't underestimate this bad boy. This can have you messed up for about a good 15 minutes. Trust me, I would know."  I remark.

"15 minutes? That's it? I mean hey, I guess it'll do you some good, give you 15 minutes to run, but with your slow self, I don't exactly know what good it would do." he chuckled back.

"Now you're getting on my nerves. I'm leaving, and I'm not saying it again. Or I will be inclined to use my precious taser on your behind." I say, while putting my headphones back on and jogging home.

Gosh, way to waste my time. My parents are probably wondering where I am.. jeez. "Yeah ma, sorry just spent a good hour talking with a random guy that probably stalks me! Yeah don't worry though, I'm good." Please, as if.
