While I Breath, I Hope

CHAPTER 1:

Ysla woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She quickly answered it, thinking it might be a call from her clinic or hospital regarding a patient. "Hello? Is there a patient who's about to give birth?" she asked without looking at the caller ID. Her eyes were still closed as she spoke.

"Last time I checked, I don't have a pussy nor an ovary. I can't bear a child," the caller said in a cold voice.

Ysla immediately sat up and opened her eyes. She looked at her phone to see who the caller was, but there was no name registered in her contacts. She recognized the voice, though.

"Hello? Are you there?" the caller asked.

"Uh, yes. Why did you call?" Ysla stuttered.

"I want to talk about the compensation" the caller said.

"Okay?"

"Lets meet tomorrow evening at the restaurant near the hospital." the caller said before hanging up.

Hayup na lalaki ito kala mo kung sino makaasta. Pasalamat ka gwapo ka kung hindi, hindi ako papayag. At lintek naman talaga ang kabastosan ng taong yung pasalamat ka talaga gwapo ka. Bulong niya sa hangin

Ang kapal ng mukha nang lalaking yun ayaw mag paistorbo ng tulog pero siya pwede. Sarap halikan. Napatawa na lang si Ysla sa kanyang iniisip.

She decided to go to work early since tumawag si Petrov nang sobrang aga. Before heading to work, she decided to jog around the small park near her condominium. She changed into a pink sports bra, black leggings, and white running shoes. She grabbed her AirPods, tumbler, and phone before leaving her condo.

Tumatakbo lang si Ysla sa maliit na park, naka limang ikot na din siya. Nakikita niya din na madami din ang nag jogging, yung iba may kasamang aso at yung iba naman by partner ang nais nila. Patuloy lang siya sa pag takbo at ng mapagod ay umupo muna siya sa isa sa mga bench, uminom na din muna siya ng tubig. Napansin niya din yung isang lalaking nakahood sa kabilang bench na nag papainom ng tubig sa aso nito. Golden retriever ang lahi ng aso kaya mas natuon ang kanyang pansin dito kahit di niya nakikita ang mukha ng may ari nakatitig lang siya dito. Pangarap din niya kasi mag karoon ng aso lalo na ng golden retriever kaso dahil nga walang mag babantay dahil lagi siya sa hospital hindi niya magawa, kaya pag nakakakita siya ng mga aso na katulad ngayong naiingit siya. Napailing na lang siya at nag desisyon na umuwi na.

As she was on her way back to her condo, she passed by a bakery where the freshly baked creampuff aroma filled the air. She decided to stop by and buy some creampuffs. Upon entering, her mouth watered with the smell, prompting her to quickly approach the counter and order a few boxes of their famous creampuffs. She also bought a cup of coffee to complement her pastry. After paying for her purchases, she left the coffee shop without staying, wanting to enjoy her creampuffs in the comfort of her own condo.

It didn't take long for her to reach her condo. Upon entering, she immediately went to the kitchen and opened the paper bag filled with creampuffs. She eagerly savored the taste, closing her eyes in satisfaction, thinking, "I'll definitely come back to this coffee shop."

After finishing her breakfast, she took a shower and got ready to go to her clinic. She needed to check her patients who had appointments for the day and then head to the hospital to attend to a patient who needed to be discharged and a new patient who had just given birth.

Maaga siyang dumating sa clinic niya kaya siya ang nag open nito. Pag ka open niya ng clinic inayas na lang niya ang mga gamit dito at ang mga kakailanganin niya mamaya. Di rin naman nag tagal dumating na rin ang kanyang secretary.
