Staring up at the boat ahead of me was a comforting feeling, growing up on the water had given it a homey sense for me. Growing up on the water sailing around with my parents was definitely a unique way of growing up. My father the feared ruler of the seven seas, known for his Nen abilities and hostility was Caspian Nightshade. My mother was known as the temptress, stealing sailors' abilities with just a lustful look, Marina Nightshade. Our family was at the same power level and as feared if not more than the Phantom Troup or the Zoldyck Family.
Earlier this week my father took his crew on a daring expedition, along with my mother to find the clan of the Myrians, a rare group of people with siren-like abilities. My mother had wanted to find them for the longest time and learn their ways to improve her already powerful Nen abilities.
This leads me to where I currently am, on the dock waiting to board the ship for the hunters' exam, having the lowest ranked second gender my parent never made me go on any missions or expeditions with them unless I wanted to. For a family as feared as mine they were surprisingly great parents, always looking out for me. Right now I chose not to go with them to find the Myrians but to take the Hunters Exam, obtaining a hunter's license something that may come in handy for whatever mission I desire to go on next.
Boarding the ship I nod to the captain, keeping my cloak up and holding onto my sent-blocking necklace tightly, I walk to the front deck of the ship, loving the sound of the waves crashing onto the wooden exterior down below. To my right, I see a boy looking to be around the age of 10-13, when he turned around to greet the captain I could impatiently see his resemblance to a hunter I had once meant during my time at YorkNew City last year.
'Well this will sure make things interesting,' I think.
As the ship starts to move my excitement rises, eager to see what this hunter exam has in store for me.
