Let's just get some of the backstory out of the way. Once upon a time not too long ago, my dad met my mom, my dad was best friends with Y/N. They grew up together. My dad married my mom, they had my sister. When she turned two, they had me. Two weeks later, Y/N and Touya gave birth to their son (Aiden). Our dads don't like each other but the other adults love one another like family. That's why I'm best friends with their son. But is it so wrong to like him when he kissed me first? Not like he remembers it. He was drunk after all. I just can't get it out of my head. It's like he woke something up inside of me and it's hard to look him in the eyes.
Maybe I should explain things better. So let's go back a little bit and explain some things. Also, hello. My name is Michael. Everyone calls me Mike or Mikey.
~11 ish year's ago~
We were just starting to get our quirks. Mine came early. It's not a strong quirk, but I can annoy the hell out of my sister with it so I think it's useful. My quirk is divination. So basically I know everything if I look at it once. But it has to be an event that happened in the past. Picture, word or even touching an object from the event. Pretty cool I guess.
Aiden on the other hand hasn't gotten his quirk. He's been freaking out thinking he won't ever get one. That is, until one day we were playing in the sand when his eyes began to glow a bright white. He drew a weird symbol in the dirt and a dark creature rose from the dirt. I tried to grab Aiden and run but the creature threw me out of the way. I screamed for Aiden but he was frozen. Staring at the dirt. The creature then dug his nails into Aiden's back and disappeared back into the dirt.
After that, he came back and screamed in pain. He was rushed to the hospital. Mom didn't let me see him for a while. Apparently, more accidents like that happened when he was at home. Things happened that he couldn't remember or control. He didn't go to school but when he finally did, he was different. Constantly warry and careful with what he touches or does. Sometimes he lets me get close and other times he gets mad at me.
We got distant over the years but he was always there for me and I was there for him. He didn't use his quirk much but in gym class, I could see glimpses of scars on his back. But when he notices me looking, he tells me it's nothing and leaves. I just want my friend back.
~day of the kiss~
We're both 16 now. Still friends but not as close anymore. I see him all the time at home and school. He's constantly surrounded by pretty girls and jocks. Not like it bugs me. I just wish I was able to get close to him again. Whatever though.
I got a new hobby. Mainly for Aiden. He likes sweet things. A lot of them. One time when he came over, he ate an entire cake by himself yet he was still hungry. So I learned to make sweet things for him. He doesn't know that they are from me of course. Mom doesn't cook desserts that well. She doesn't have the patience.
"Yo, Mike, right?" I'm snapped out of my thoughts and turn to the direction the voice came from. One of Aiden's friends.
"Yes?" I ask while glancing over at Aiden who quickly looks away. What's that about?
"Aiden's parents are out of town so he's throwing a party at seven, we're inviting everyone, so show up," he demands with a smile that makes me uneasy plastered on his face.
"Um, okay?" I turn back around at my desk and look at my notebook paper. Why couldn't he ask me? Does he not want me to go?
As soon as class was done, I rushed home and made some of Aiden's favorite cookies. Chocolate chip cookies. Simple but he loves them. I'll just drop these off and leave the party. I'm not close with anyone there anyways.
I put the last batch on the cooling rack when I see a hand reach over my shoulder and grab a cookie off the tray.
"What are these for?" I look over at my sister Hannah. She's always worried about me since I don't have a choice but to be smart and know everything which makes me a target for bullying a lot. She loves me in her own weird way.
"Aiden is having a party so I'm just making some snacks and dropping them off," she gives me a confused look before taking a bite of the cookie, her face instantly lights up as she shoves the rest of it into her mouth.
"Well, whatever, don't get drunk, call if anything happens, got it?" she says while pushing her finger in my face in a warning way. I nod my head in response then turn to package the cookies.
By 6:30, I was already at Aiden's house. Early. I know. But it'll be easier to drop these off and leave that way. Before I can even lift my hand to knock on the door, it opens and Aiden is standing there staring at me. I open my mouth to speak but I can feel my words get stuck in my throat. He doesn't have to try, he's intimidating.
"What are these for?" he asks while carefully taking the tupperware of cookies from my hands.
"I-I made- I mean my mom made them before I got here and she wanted me to share them with you so here they are, I'll be leaving now," I mutter while taking a step back and bowing slightly then turning to walk away when Aiden grabs my wrist.
"You were invited, why are you leaving? Plus I could use the help setting up," he adjusts his grip on my wrist, tugging me closer to him. Before I can even protest, I'm being pulled inside with the door closed behind me.
