Adam's pov:

The next game against Team Canada, Bombay didn't show up until well into the second period. I hadn't told him about my wrist yet, and I don't plan on doing so. This is the biggest opportunity of my life; I can't pass it up. We end up beating Team giving, giving them their second and last loss. There was a knock on the locker room door after the game. Bombay greeted the lady at the door. She pulled Julie and Genny out to speak to them. Less than five minutes later, they both walked in with smiles plastered across their faces. "What was that about?" I whispered to Genny. "Nothing, she just wanted us to practice with her again." She whispered back. "Since we don't have a game tomorrow, we will scrimmage against Portridge's Girls Hockey Team." Everyone cheered. "But two of our players will be playing with them." The cheers turned into groans. I assumed the two players were Genny and Julie.

"Adam!" Genny called out in the lobby. I stopped to wait for her. She had just come back from practice with Portridge and was still stunning with her hair sticking to her forehead. We both find a seat. "What's up, Genny?" I asked. "I wanted to know if you told Bombay about your wrist yet?" She asked softly. "No," she sighed. "Why not?" I shrugged. "That's not an answer." I swear she sounds just like my mom sometimes. "I don't want to miss out on this opportunity," I huffed. "My dad will be so proud if I get a scholarship." I continued. "All right, let's say you get a scholarship, but you can't play because you're injured." I sighed. Genny grabbed my hand, and my heart started racing. "I don't want to see you get hurt, Adam." She muttered. I smiled when I noticed her face turn red. "You blushing, Little?" I teased. "Maybe," she laughed. "Let's go to a movie; we can sneak into a rated movie like we used to." I suggested. "Yes, I have been wanting to see 'Leprechaun 2' for the longest." She smiled. We walked to the cinema with her hand in mine. I bought two tickets to 'My Girl 2'. "Date night, huh?" The clerk asked. I looked over at Genny, who was smiling harder than I had ever seen her smile before. "Yeah, our first." I grinned. We walked into theater 4 where 'Leprechaun 2' was playing, instead of theater 6 where we were supposed to be. After we sat down, I faked a yawn and wrapped my arm around Genny's shoulder. "So smooth, Banks." she whispered. Throughout the movie, I could feel her jumping every time she got scared. "How did you like it?" I asked, she was still under my arm as we walked down the street. "It doesn't compare to the original." She sighed. When our eyes met, I felt like I was under a spell. "Damn, you are so pretty," I huffed. "You are quite pretty yourself, Banksy." She smiled. From that moment on, I knew I was truly in love with Genevieve Little. Before she could go inside the dorms, I placed my hands on her waist. I wasn't going to back down, I leant in and placed my lips on hers. Her lips felt like pillows against mine, they were soft—almost velvety. When we inhaled together, I could feel her breath tickling my nose and her fingers running through my hair. She smiled after she pulled away from the kiss. Her smile was so warm and genuine, I would do anything to see it. "I would have never thought you were a good kisser," she teased. "Well, I was hoping you were." I mocked her witty tone. She placed a kiss on my cheek before we parted ways for the night. "Goodnight, Genny." I waved. "Goodnight, Banksy." She grinned.
